On camp outs I'm alright with cooking it slightly more, but yes, usually rare or blue is my go to for fillets. I heard someone say this the other day when describing how they liked their steak: "so rare, a good vet could bring it back to life." I had a good laugh at that one! This is Kerckhoff reservoir and I’ll be honest, I had to edit out every time I said the name because I mispronounced it every time! Kept saying Kerchoff 😅

All of the best trout fishing rivers in the area "open" for keeping trout very soon. It's currently catch and release. After the last Friday in April you are allowed to keep 5 trout daily through November. So hopefully I'll do some catch and cooks here coming up!
