Exploring PHNOM PENH! 🌆 Cambodia Travel Vlog 2022 (Cambodian Street Food and Buddhist Temples)

Was great to get a real feel of the captial of Cambodia... Phnom Penh! The Golden Temple was beautiful and a fiesty run in with some monkeys! Seeing various parts of the city has given me a great insight into the country. It was also amazing to check out a Cambodian cinema and to watch The Batman 2022!

Right behind the temple next to the market, there's this stall set up in the late afternoon that sold fried beefballs, fried balut, grilled egg and other stuffs.... with tasty dipping sauce and chilli oil. Not sure if they are still around.

Looks like a Cambodian porc ribs Sour Soup known as Samlor machou kroeung (kroeung = lemongrass paste: lemongrass stalks, turmeric, galangal, kaffir lime, garlic), usually with chicken or beef or pork ribs and vegetables (the traditional one with morning glory).

The h in Phnom is silent and last part sounds like om, the sound you use when meditating only shorter don't extend the sound. Short and sharp. Last part pronounced closer to ping but without the hard g. My two cents. Just found your channel will enjoy watching future vids.

It is a local pagoda not a famous pagoda. The Tuktuk guy brought you to the wrong place. 😮😅 There are many famous pagoda in the city such as Wat Langka, Wat Uknalom. Also, nobody eats the monkey. Weird Tuktuk
