I somehow missed this- and all the videos!- when it dropped, so your video (and Robert’s in the Cinematic Lab) have been a revelation. First major purchase of 2025 imminent!

RYK always knocks it out of the park aesthetically!
@TheUnperson7 ай бұрын
Agreed - maybe my favourite aesthetics. Would love a full RYK system.

Not my type of oscillator, but you make it sound awesome. My favorite part was at the beginning and you took that relatively harsh sound and tunes it into a bass sound with a filter. Nice.

I was like "it's cool but I dunno if I'd want my main osc to be fm.." and then of course you made me say "WOW that's gritty, ohh beautiful, huh that's complex" like...every other osc you show us lol

Glad you liked it! FM can definitely create some very unique sounds :D

Beautiful. I think at this point the quality of your videos is enough to elevate you to personhood.

That polymetric riff at the end of jam 2 was infectious AF!

Honestly a whole lot more versatility with ALGO than I had expected. In some ways, it reminded me of some of the sounds I get from the Spherical Wavetable Navigator, but then pushing the FM around almost reminded me of some of the cross-patching chaos. Looking forward to how you push this one next.

There's definitely some crossover with the SWN which has sine waves as it's core sound and similar warp/fold options :)

Hi Ally, this now looks strangely familiar. How on earth did you sync Pam to the KO-II and the Arturia?

I go for the hit and hope sync method! :D

Algo sounding nasty💯 Love the fx chain, what mode on mfx are u using 🤔
@TheUnperson7 ай бұрын
I can’t actually remember now, but I mostly use it for either distortion, chorus, or clocked delays.

@@TheUnperson Actually the first one I got was broken (wouldn't respond to any CV), had to wait for a replacement, but now that's racked and working. Cool unit, sounds great.

I think Algo would be nuts with a MI Stages (or clone). Even just running 6 decay-only envelopes, let alone all the more complicated functions You’d have 6 additional HP for something else too, if you swapped it for Maths
@TheUnperson7 ай бұрын
Have always wanted a shot of a stages. Might look out for one!

Initially sounded a lot like the ensemble oscillator!?
@TheUnperson7 ай бұрын
Yea definitely - both are sine wave based and have similar warp and fold functions. as well as chord capabilities.
