This brought me back, as I spent nearly a month exploring Galicia a few years ago. Such a magical place, with awe inspiring views and amazing people. I had hoped to see a reaction to Castro de Barona, which was a fave of ours. But you brought me places I hadn't yet seen, to add to my list for next visit.

I found your channel doing research about the Via Podiensis (planning on going in the spring!) and I just have to say you both are a joy to watch. The quality of your footage/framing/pacing/editing is amazing but most of all, I appreciate the positive and calming energy you give off. One of my new favorite KZbin channels!

That was awesome!!! We loved it, thanks for sharing your tour. Just “binge watched” both vids(don’t know how we missed part one, last week). The reason we loved this so much is that, this is how we’ve been visiting Spain for the last 10 years( been coming almost once a year since 2003). We rent a car the get an apartment in Suances or Cangas de Onis and just drive around for two weeks. Every detour/ side road or little beach access road is another amazing photo. Good job sharing this. We LOVE northern Spain. But that’s our secret

So maybe we do the Camino Del Mar and/or the Camino de los Faros? It starts right where the Norte dips inland and I almost broke off the Norte to do it then and it seems to follow this route. Is there a reason y’all chose to do it by car?

Too many Caminos and not enough time. We loved taking this as a road trip but we do hope to walk both those routes someday.

Greetings from Coruña! I love your videos, yours is a great channel. I like Galicia´s coast very much, and it´s great that you liked it too. I also loved the Camino de Invierno videos , where you passed through Las Medulas: another place that I love. You missed some great places , Cabo Ortegal, Faro de Punta Nariga, Cabo Vilano...but actually you had no time. You may also like to walk some stages (or all of them) of the Camiño dos Faros, from Malpica to Finisterre, by coastal fisherman´s paths. I´m hoping for your next videos! Bye!

13:14 In Spanish, the letter Z and the letter C followed by "e" or "i" (ce,ci) are pronounced the same as the TH sound in English (thanks, think...) it should not be so complicated to pronounce it being the same sound.

You guys got better weather heading south. I love those hórreos (barns). They're very typical of Galicia and Asturias. They serve two purposes, keep the grains dry bc it rains a lot around there and to keep the pests out as well. All that area looks very pretty, very unspoiled. The weather seems similar to northern CA, OR. However the soil and rocks are different, that looks like granite, volcanic rocks, and other types of stones.

Hi Shawn and Laney ,thank you for sharing your tour! I was born in Spain Carreira/ Ribeira region of, La Coruna . My parrents and 2 sisters left Spain and headed to the us in the 1970...I had visited spain several times, but hopefully would like to reire there soon, maybe this year. My brother-inlaw is from Ourense, how do you like it there, ? I was there only once to visit. I hear its quite quite now. My sister keeps telling me that I would like it back in Spain , its relaxed compared to the US... The homes are 1/3 of the cost and the taxes and community fees are practically nothing when compared to the usa of $10,000 a year for a $500,000 home....I also heard that Spain has Ghost towns that the goverment wants to repopulate and is practically giving homes away for a low cost. Any recommendations that you can share, willl be greatly appreciated. Thanks and happy Touring
@DaysWeSpend5 ай бұрын
We love it in Ourense. Even in the last 1.5 years, there have been many changes here. Taxes on homes are cheaper here than the US, but the tax on income, wealth, and assets are MUCH higher.
