I used to own the "big van" with the star on the door, shown at 3:30. It is a 1941 GMC Light Ordnance Maintenance Shop Van. It is powered by a 248 c.i.d. 6 cylinder engine. I donated it to Craig in 2012. He and the staff there at Tankland performed the restoration. I am happy to see that it is on display and in great shape...

That is a neat museum, Bethany and Drew! "Tanks" for taking us for a visit. Thumbs up! Now, how about giving some thought to visiting and videoing the National Museum of Military Vehicles in Dubois (say DEW-boys) Wyoming for your followers. The $100,000,000 facility is very new and growing, and much of it is under cover, (140,000 sq. ft. so far). The NMMV features a collection of 432 fully restored military vehicles (so far), more than 200 militarily significant firearms, and a good deal more.

Around 4:03, NF-2 Lighting cart. It would usually have large lights on the top, the top cradle can be lifted up several feet by a hand crank on the other side. Can also supply 110 power. It was used as support equipment for Air Force Bases. I'm not sure why it ended up at a tank museum. I used to work on them. Cool.

Cool video. It is so great to have all that history preserved. Weapons of war are amazing. Their true purpose is for peace. Countries must maintain a strong enough military force to deter other countries from attacking them. Kuwait is a prime example of a very wealthy country not investing enough in a military deterrent. A lot of people died because invading them looked too easy and appealing to Hussein. Ultimately think about how many people have died since 1990 because Kuwait didn't spend enough money on a military deterrent force... Great video. Take Care and be safe, John

The anchor ball and chain are also refered to a mooring buoy the ball floats and is what a ship ties onto instead of having to deploy and retrieve the anchor it also allows more boats to be anchored in a small area at Anchor a ship will swing ontheir anchor lines or chains and can crash into one another

What they need is a museum complex building for proper storage, display and maintenance of every exhibits shown here. Not just sat around in a sandy field outdoor. With any luck, a new tourist attraction, as grand as the Imperial War Museum in the UK, will appear in the US.

You have heard wrong, my friend. The museum is alive and very much open each week Tuesday through Sunday. It's closed on Mondays. Craig has to have a day off once in a while. The museum sits on county-owned property that is designated as a flood plane and therefore, no permanent buildings can be built. Craig works very hard to keep this museum interesting, inviting, and OPEN for all to see the recent and distant past. Three of the most awesome people came together that day. Drew, Bethany, and Craig. I've never met Drew or Bethany, but I have thoroughly enjoyed their videos covering the history of Southern California. A subject that has intrigued me since my youth. I'm a friend of Craig's, and he operates that museum on a literal "shoestring", surviving on movie work, the occasional donation, and what little revenue he sees from entrance fees. Great video, and thank you, you two for helping to get the word out to the public about this wonderful place.
