Middle of winter. Mediterranean climate. Hot dry summers. Cold, wet winters. But you did thread your way past the sunny days which outnumber the grey. That's a bit of bad luck.

yes you've summarised it well. Oh well, it didnt take away too much from how much I enjoyed the city. Do you have any recommendations for the next time I visit?

@@mikebald1 easy. Time it for mad March. That refers to the beautiful autumn weather, the Festival of Arts but most importantly, the Fringe. Book ahead. Adelaide is a city of contrasts. Dead this month. Alive the next. That's the way it is. Good luck. If you like it quiet then winter's for you. Today is partially cloudy. A fresh morning but a warm sunny day. That's the thing I missed most when I first spent time in England. A sun in winter that actually feels warm.

@@bumble-g2j That's amazing, thanks so much for the advice. The Fringe sounds great, what sort of things happen during fringe time? I'm definitely more of a warm weather person so I think March could be for me

@@mikebald1 the Fringe is associated with the Festival of Arts but is its own thing. A mixture of amateur to professional. Beginner to world class acts. Local, national and international. Second in size to the Edinburgh Fringe which is the largest in the world across the whole gamut of art forms. It's a big deal. Goes for several weeks. Plenty of youtube vids plus Web sites. The joke is what do Adelaidians do for the rest of the year. Save up money for the Fringe of course.
