Exploring the Depths of the Palace of the dead in Final Fantasy XIV

Welcome back. I level mostly with FATES & bounties and daily roulettes. Level appropriate dungeons or FATE grinding are probably the fastest methods after MSQ. At higher levels there are more options and the exp flows pretty freely. Everyone says Palace of the Dead is good for leveling, but I think that comes with a lot of caveats. Dying gets you no exp so its very frustrating until you get sufficiently powerful with multiple runs and resetting your progress often.

I think I will aim for lvling this way, I'm sad I cannot do the MSQ again for big XP gains. Thanks!

Palace of the Dead only good exp if you get to the 50th floor so that you can repeat the 50th-60th floor in a group over and over again. Doing this will also help max out your aetherpool, which is the measure of power and defense while in the Palace since your own armor and weapons don't count.
