Hi, just thought I'd suggest a mattress cover that's not as plasticky, plus the jersey knit sheet. When my kids were little, I would stick my own head on their beds, just to see what it's like. This continued into their teen aged years 🤣🤣🤣

Maybe Jackson is more comfortable in his pack n play? Try having him sleep in there at home and see how he does.

Keep in mind that hotels tend to be super quiet and have blacked out windows. That plus the soft sheet and different sound machine could all be factors.

I think I know why Jackson sleeps well in the hotels, it could be because you are on the go all day in the parks/investigating the hotels etc and in the fresh air. He’s looking at so much and taking in so much and to a little baby, it’s mentally stimulating and that can make your baby tired, this could be why he sleeps so well because it’s not his normal home daily routine. He is such a cute little boy and he absolutely steels my heart when he smiles/giggle/laughs xxxx

Just a thought, if you cut a piece of pool noodle and put it on the door Jackson won't catch his fingers in the door and it would fit in your suitcase to take along
@ChristineAlexandra28783 жыл бұрын
He probably sleeps really well because at such a young age just new sights and locations are super stimulating. Anything new helps wear them out. Also, please keep cutting the grapes lengthwise into quarters choking is a major cause of death in children 5 and under.... grapes and hotdogs/sausage being two of the worst culprits because their diameter is about same as the diameter of the esophagus. (Peanut butter, popcorn, cheese also high on the list). But you two are brilliant parents I’m sure you’ve read it all too!!! Your videos rock!!!! Love watching Jackson grow and my son Hudson (5) LOVES little Jackson.

(First-This is just an opinion and what I’ve experienced as a mom of two and being around friends of mine who are moms. We all have different parenting styles and what some of us will do others don’t think it’s right. That’s why it’s just an opinion and why there are different parenting styles..) The reason why Jackson is sleeping like that at home is because it’s his routine. He has been taught how to sleep at night when home. When he’s home his routine is he goes to bed at night and he wakes up and cries and y’all go right to him to either hold him and rock him back to sleep or feed him and get him back to sleep. That’s what happens every single night so that’s his routine. Babies and little ones are great about getting into routines and sticking with it. At a hotel it’s not home so a different routine has been established. He follows the routine he’s used to when he’s at a hotel. There is a way to change this but it’s very difficult for any parent, I had to go through this with my first one, to do. The way to change this so he sleeps all the way through the night at home means letting him cry. He doesn’t realize yet that he has the ability to wake up and put himself back to sleep when he’s at home. Right now at home he doesn’t think he can do that because he has never had to; he always makes noise or cries and a parent comes running. This is very hard to do though as a parent. You hear your little one crying and instinct tells you need to run to them and help them. However, when you’re at a hotel you see that he can sleep through the night. You can see he is not hungry and he doesn’t need his diaper changed yet and he’s not hurting when it’s the middle of the night. It’s the same way when it’s the middle of the night at your home. It’s just very hard as a parent to break this routine. You have to let him cry And eventually he puts himself back to sleep and literally it doesn’t take too many nights before the crying in the middle of the night stops and he just wakes up and put himself back to sleep. Y’all have that very high tech baby monitor so you can see and hear anything in his room. If there was something different or he got sick or whatever the case you would be able to see that on the monitor and know that you need to go in. Also, you’ll be able to see that he’s OK even though he’s crying. I’ll be very honest and I’ve said it a few times before, it will be the hardest thing you’ll ever do. You feel like you are abandoning them or that they will think you don’t love them. It hurts your heart but then after a few nights and you see them starting to sleep through the night and you’re getting sleep through the night it’s miraculous. lol
@hollythomas68753 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the exact same thing...my son is now 37...I had to do that with him...it works! It is hard but it works!!
@kathleensuhy18753 жыл бұрын
@@hollythomas6875 It is so hard to do. It just eats at you and you want to start crying with them. You just want to run in there and hold them. However, there’s nothing wrong with them and they just don’t know that they can put themselves back to sleep yet. I think with the first child it’s the hardest. First time being a parent and you’re so excited they’re here and you just don’t want to mess anything up. You get so concerned about doing everything right. I’m sure with them showing so much of their life on video in front of everybody it’s even more pressure.
@nathaliarubirodriguezgomez5103 жыл бұрын
That’s the cry out method. It is NOT recommended by infant psychologists or doctors because it just increases the stress levels on the child. The ONLY reason they stop crying is because they realize mom and dad are not gonna respond to his cry of help (the only way he can communicate) and it creates a detachment. This too, creates a feeling of abandonment in the baby. It is a medieval way and it’s just plain cruel.
@rebeccacronan3 жыл бұрын
@@nathaliarubirodriguezgomez510 cry it out is not good for infants, but no research on toddlers. Jackson is over age 1. I did it with my son at age 2. It was a ton easier than I thought. He cried for maybe 5 minutes, he never cried again and went back to sleep forever, he's 9 now and only gets up if he needs us.

Quite expensive, but nice for a lovely meal out for a date night/celebration meal. I gasped at the price of the room, to us, that's quite pricey, we wouldn't be able to afford a two week holiday there! Last time we stayed at a private villa and paid £1300 for 2 weeks. I must admit, Jenn suited the red hair, but definitely blonde is suiting you! Loved your blue Disney sweatshirt, really nice.
