What you said about being nice to employees is so true. There's plenty of restaurants I go to where I walk in and everyone knows me and makes small talk with me, or I can just go in and grab an order without having to confirm or anything. I've had multiple restaurants tell me that the vast majority of dashers are rude and that I'm like the only nice dasher who comes in. I'm always getting free food as well. Marcos gave me a whole pizza and cinnamon squares yesterday because I'm always talking to them being friendly

I took a few days off and when i went in to pick up an order from McDonalds they said finally your here. I thin k they missed me. You have to be friendly and kind to ppl. I also got an extra $20.00 cash tip this morning

I started delivering DoorDash about 6 weeks ago. I noticed at first that our only McDonald's was very rude to me my first couple of times and all I was doing was patiently waiting my turn (because I didn't know Dashers didn't have to wait in line here). So I let my annoyance out (accidentally) for a few pickups from there until I saw another dasher actually threaten the mcdonald's staff. Realized that's probably why they were in a sour mood because who knows how often they get that and I've made a conscious effort to go above and beyond to be my nicest to the mcdonald's staff.

My Outback Steakhouse instructs drivers to never enter the restaurant. They're alerted when I arrive and know what kind of car I'm driving and bring it out when it's ready. Drake's is similar, but I have to text them the customer name and which parking spot I'm in. I rarely have any problems with either.

Getting those add on orders mid shop or mid delivery drive me nuts. They want to save a few bucks on base pay but half the time the orders end up not being worth the trouble and just hurt the AR.

If you're getting orders added on when you're about to drop off an order, turn on the Pause After Delivery option to make it stop. This will stop the distraction/AR destruction.

My very first delivery for DoorDash was in BFE and I lost cell connection on their street. I had to drive off their street before I could send the picture. It took me 5 minutes or so of sitting in my car in front their house before I just drove off thinking I had a short dashing career.

Wifi to finish a dash in the middle of no where....... l feel like a dumbass for always wait till l got back to service to contact support..... You are so right about being kind. I see the different looks and greetings l get compaired to some dashers. My step daughter just started working at a mom and pop pizza shop that just got on doordash. Said there are 3 of us that are nice and 4 that are complete jerks. Love the people who own her place he asked me to stop back when he first started on doordash to see what he can do better and how things are going. Have a safe and great trip with mom!

It's crazy how they are adding shops. The other day, I accepted a double at two different stores. When I pulled into the parking lot, they gave me another one at the same store. OK, cool, right well, after I got done delivering the first order, they sent me another at the first store I went to. Long story short, the first order I shopped was in my car for over an hr and it was the last one I dropped off. Shame on u dd trying to save a buck.

BFE no internet happened to me once. I dropped at door, had not internet, so I started driving back until it connected and then stopped and confirmed order and went through the automated steps to mark that there was no internet connection at customer drop off. Took me 2 miles of driving back to zone before I got the signal again. App had that big list of choices for when you try to confirm no where near the drop off and one of them was no internet service at drop location, so I thought it was no big deal and must happen often.

I get connection issues a lot and I am in your area. Especially in Camas up a lot of hilly areas. I just drive away until I get a connection. And the Applebee orders I just go in that door by pickup and orders are placed on a shelf at the desk area. Welcome to Vancouver area!!! I moved here last year

I believe you can press pause after this order while you're shopping and you won't get any add-ons. I believe, but not sure. I would like to know if anybody knows if this is correct

Doordash really needs to improve their “Current Dash” menu UX, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried to extend my dash and ended it by accident. That being said, with the dasher market oversaturated as is, this probably is deliberate 😂

DD has me pick up liquor give me the wrong address I find the apartment but it won't let me scan the license so I just give it to him after spending 1/2 a hour trying to get them to clear it so I can drive again I asked for compensation which I didn't get,it's getting worse then it's ever was.

Why is it that most U.S. drivers don't pull into customer driveways. Heck in Canada I do anytime I can. Just too funny seeing sale signs on alki..never happens here.

I've driven for alot of companies. Pest control, amazon, you name it. At each company, we are specifically told not to drive in a customers driveway. It is a huge liability. Things can go wrong in a driveway as far as damage or getting stuck so we are told to stay out. At one company I worked it we'd even get written up for making a uturn in someone's driveway

That happens to me alot, and its gonna happen to you alot more where you are at now. If its a normal order i just drive off and wait till i get signal to complete the order. I have to do this like 5 times a day. If its an alcohol order i have to do what you did and ask to use wifi. Thankfully the times its happened the customers have been understanding enough to let me sign on

What's with the locked up liquor? I've never seen that before and where I live you have to go to an ABC store to buy it. Is there that much theft or is it to ensure legal age for purchase? This was a decent day! These days it seems anything over $2 a mile is good. I've never been to either Washington or Nebraska. Maybe in your next latest video you can share some interesting tidbits? Good, bad, ugly - doesn't matter. 👍

I have Xfinity at home, so I can use my phone to connect to their hotspots (other customer's modems). I have it set to auto-connect. It won't connect if I'm just driving through, but it often connects at restaurants, stores, and customer's homes. Occasionally I'm out in BFN, and have no cell service, and no one in the area has Xfinity, so I have occasionally had to connect to a customer's wifi for an alcohol delivery with signature. For non-signature, I take a picture of the delivery, and as soon as I get service, I mark it as delivered by saying "take photo", and then selecting the photo from my files. Some restaurants haven't updated their instructions, so at Applebees I'd have gone in anyway.
