Dan did not show any thing but a rusted building and a hot dog . Old Port has a famous land marks like the clock tower , Five Rose flour building ,Le grand Quai with a green roof of 250,000 plants , a new glass tower , an observatory , playground for everybody like SOS labyrinthe , Zip Line , the massive Montreal science Center , Bota Bota , The lock for Lachine canal etc .. Dan has a very superficial and limited kowledge about Montre

For the bike path the signage is confusing but what I understand is between rue Quai de l’horloge and rue du Quai King Edward we must walk our bike.

Would love a video on Île St-Hélène/Île Notre-Dame. You could go to Cité du Havre also (thats where is Habitat 67) and there's a park with a beautiful view of Montréal.

really enjoyable video! visiting the city tomorrow, probably gonna check out the last night of korea week while strolling through the old port. a parc jean-drapeau video sounds awesome 👌

For better view of the Old Port , watch Cliff diving in the Montreal Old Port last weekend from the world tour Red Bull . The water is fresh water and clean from the magestic St-Lawrence river with 13 speacies of whales and unique eco-system. People also surf behind Habitat 67 .

We saw very little of the Old Port due to the rain his week. We say more of Old Montreal. Those islands suck big time! You had one big thing in 1967 and now you just can't let it go and redevelop the land to something more beautiful like Toronto. You can hardly see Montreal or the water from most places. Fun to take the Metro under water.

Toronto is built for cars, pollution, ugly architecture , no historical buildings ,no identity and no soul . Toronto is Mumbai in Canada with a USA culture of gun violence, homeless , drugs and nothing canadian .

One of the Island ( Notre Dame )is used for the F1 Canada Grand prix since 1967 and everyday by cyclists ,atheletes and also includes the Olympic bassin . The Largest Casino in north america is also on the Notre dame Island . Ile Ste Helene , includes olympic pools , beaches , major parks , 6 flags park , World class Bio diversity high tech museum , all major outside music festivals venues ,Osheaga, Lasso, Ile Sonic , Pik Nik electronic are on the Island with a major 6 flags park . Your comments show your ignorance , pretentious and uncultured you are .

Your comments show your lack of knowledge , lack of culture about the islands . Montreal is the canadian capital of culture , architecture , history , food , the greenest and most suatainable city in north america ( global sustainable cities index ) , UNESCO city of design . You are definately from Toronto . The most boring city and USA culture of violence , racism , xenophobia , car culture , pollution and nothing canadian .

Clock Tower ( a landmark ), the beach, marinas for boats , SOS labyrinth , jet boating, Montreal science museum , festivals , Cirque du Soleil, Le Grand Quai , Le grand Quai Tower , Bota bota , the lock ( boat) for the canal lachine , Old Port Canada national park , Old custom etc ...Old Montreal is more than you showed on your video . I am always surprised by the lack of precisions in your videos . Montreal is unique in north america with 400 years off architecture, history , culture and values .

Dan, awesome video! Was wondering if you know if there is a Thai community in Montreal? Was curious b/c I am Thai and wondered if there is such community speaking French?

Come to think of it, I'm not sure I have met any Thai people in Montreal. If there is a community here I think it is quite small.

Always fun summer fests in Mtl. In regards to your past couple videos, on life in Quebec as an anglo. It was interesting to get your angle. I think the fatal mistake of Quebecers is to try to protect the 'quebecois language' at the expense of learning english. The same argument they use to say their language is in danger in the middle of 300 million anglos should actually be the main incentive for them to actually also learn proper English to be open to others socially and economically instead of being so against it. Yes I am part of thousands of anglos and businesses that moved to Toronto after the last and lost referendum. I said Quebecois language is not French, what is spoken could be called a variation of creole french. Quebecers do not speak french period. Little tip Quebecois is actually English with French words. Bon courage et bonne continuation dans ton travail, ce que tu fais est très utile.

English is badly spoken French.

How is life in Toronto ? Is everyone happy and getting rich equality to live in those high rise condos all over the City may I ask ?
@roberthicks61613 ай бұрын
Oh well, alright then @elisha770, si Les Québécois ne parlent pas vraiment Le Français, I might as well conclude that what's spoken in the rest of Canada is not really English, but some sort of pidgin variant that bears scant relation to The Queen's English or Received Pronunciation. Anyway, I agree that what Dan is doing here is quite useful. As I am currently far away in the U.S. sunbelt baking and wilting under a giant heat lamp sun, Montréal me manque tellement. So I'm enjoying these little travelogues from Dan as I follow him through various locations in the city. How I long to return!

@@juliusvinh109 the rich always gets richer in time of crisis. I am sad that Montreal will never recover to be an international business hub, and will now forever remain a fun little historic tourist destination like Athens or Rome..

The clock tower is a landmark for the past 100 years , the Grand Quai is also a landmark and the greenest with green roof top from 250,000 plants , Montreal science museum , Five Rose building is a landmark , Voile en voile is unique , the glass tower , there are more than 70 attractions in the Old Port . Sorry , your video does not show the old port . Why did you show the only rusted structure ? I noticed you need a change in your life .
