Gerald reminds me of my uncle, who sadly passed away this morning. He had been ill with diabetes and cancer for a long time and due to covid I wasn't able to visit him. I really appreciate the company and the beautiful friendship/family bonds you share, a bit more than usual today. Really glad to have lots of episodes in the back log (only started watching a few months ago).

When my husband and I visited Egypt 29 years ago, the tour bus we were on needed to be escorted by armed guards! I was pregnant and felt extremely unsafe. Those diaries are so well done... But this one has everything in it... It has the historical background explinations, the link to La Landes with the Empire bed, the ideas and inspiration that are taken from every trip back to France... And what a way to start a journey in Egypt with that Room with a View ( the Ferrero remark was pinn on also 😁) And what a chique way to travel... I have rarely seen a woman being so stylish on a pyramid before... Stéphanie is a real fashion Icon and such an inspiration on how to enjoy life and live it to the fullest... That was a fascinating commentary. How do they account for the disorder of the tomb when it was opened? Was it the result of earthquakes throughout the millennia? What a fabulous Christmas gift!

It was the best Christmas present ever! Egyptologists believe that the tomb was in that state because of two robberies of it thousands of years ago. The grave robbers were caught at the time and the guards hastily stuffed things back in a higgledy piggledy fashion before re-sealing the tomb.
