Exploring the Samsung Tab Ativ 500T

this tablet is running windows 10 22h2 but it needs fixing as it has a few bugs which is to be expected with a tablet that only shipped with windows 8 and upgradeable to windows 8.1. the hardware is very picky with windows 10 and the supplied drivers.

Can you install Linux? I tried and failed

hi unfortunately no. we can get Linux to boot using the bootia32.efi to the installer. but apart from that any distro will just get stuck at a black screen with a cursor and that is due to the graphics driver not being available for Linux and only available to windows. best we can try is windows 10 lite. windows 11 is out the question same as windows 7 or vista. so we are stuck with windows 8, windows 8.1 or windows 10.

@@selbornzandamela yeah i do agree windows 10 is painfully slow. i used Chris Titus tech windows debloat you can find it on GitHub by a google search. their is some good stuff that you can enable and disable to make the tablet run just that little faster i have a video coming up soon with a tutorial on how to do this. it is sad that we cannot use Linux as it would of been great
