jim pickens they both have merits, Volgun is great for giving us the full, unedited articles from a sorta First Person View of the SCP world, especially with the interviews and some of his earlier skits. Exploring Series takes a look from the meta side of the SCP world and we get to enjoy it more as outsiders looking in and watching the universe transpire.

@@sirmount2636 I wouldn't call one better. It was very frightening, scary and surreal, similar to how its described at 8:40. I thought this SCP was heading in the direction of originating from that specific concept of being lost, but then it brought up a giant spider with a conductor hat. I feel like this is what it feels like for people to experience subway transportation in any major US city for the first time. Dark and sketchy atmosphere... strange garbled announcements... being ignored by dead-inside staff... and creepy looking passengers and mysteriously vanishing vagrants... *sigh*... just another commute to work

The way I interpreted it is whatever that spider creature is is some kind of predator, an anomalous predator that uses an Angler Fish approach in that it uses a lure to bring its prey to it, in the form of a ticket However, evidently, this predator is learning, as the last researcher to be taken wasn’t taken because they used a ticket for a form of transportation, but for an opera, and it showed it turning into money to enter a bar It is learning, and it can’t be allowed to learn more

I wanna know what would happen if you were to look at a picture of 096, and then boarded 342
@SupahDoesTech4 жыл бұрын
Well, depending on how you interpret this, this could end in different ways that raise more questions. Such as how fast can 96 move? I checked the wiki and it's a speed range of 35 kph to a redacted three didgit value, we shall call it 999 (620 mph) for a worst case scenario. Can it outpace the vehicle itself? If it's land or sea, yes. The only real world land vehicle that could outrun 096 (off the top of my head) is the thrust SSC) but that vehicle like all others has to stop eventually. So 096 finds your vehicle of choice, let's say a train. We have another issue. Can 096 even board that train? It's known it will stop at nothing to kill what has seen it, but we also know getting 096-1 off this wild ride is highly unlikely, and getting on the train to get 096-1 out also is no mean feat. So either the crowd is made anomalous and we end up with an unstoppable force and an immovable object senario, or we end up with a wall of people controlled by the ticket to keep 096 out and 096-1 in massacred, followed by the death of 096-1 by the hands of 096, or a battle between 096 and the spider of 342 to kill 096-1. Maybe the passengers allow him on to kill 096-1 because the motivation behind the controller of the ticket is to kill, the method not being of concern. At this point its not if you die, it's how and when. Given that in the story they are on public transportation for a long duration of time, hours even, that in the event that 096 can get on the train, you will die by 096 most cases. If the trip was short, you would die to 342. Now, if you boarded a spaceship to never return to earth, it's by 342 you die, as 096 can't reach you.

The instances of trying to leave the bus but once you try to, a bunch of entities perfectly replicating a crowd real humans group up around the entrance and frowns upon and berates you for pushing them and being impolite while innocuously making it physically impossible for you to leave is so perfectly classic SCP material
