Sandflies have been around for quite a while. They are easy to deal with. It's called insect repellent (bug spray to others). And try and resist scratching the bites if you do get bitten - it makes it worse. Use a honey balm to stop the itching. Otherwise - great video! We have seals here, not sealions.

Unfortunately we had forgotten the sandfly repellent in the car! That has definitely saved us in the past though. Thanks for the clarification on the seals!

Depends. I would say we like New Zealand more overall because we love mountains, but the beach life in Hawaii is also really cool too. Both of them are beautiful islands, but the mountains win in our books :)
