So you can see why people’s reactions are the way they are. This is also a talent show which means contestants have show a level of performance, singing and dancing. But (and this is fact and not an assumption) you can clearly see Kelly didn’t demonstrate even a basic level of range nor thru her dancing. Perhaps one can train but this is a competition so coming untrained unprepared is why Kelly is getting hate because she is taking a spot of someone else more deserving

Not falling into peer pressure but If people are hating on her because she cant sing or dance then the best way is to show people that they are wrong. Let them see that you’re a singer that you’re an amazing dancer. However Kelly time again didn’t do that. She went live to have people sympathize and understand why she can’t. But if you can’t then you’re just proving them right. I think sometime we have to self reflect and accept the things we can do and the things we can’t do. all if not most groups have a small-scale ‘survival show’ made internally before their debut. it’s just after the popularisation of survival shows companies are starting to record this (jyp) to market their new group meanwhile for smaller companies, they are seeing benefits in creating a temporary group than self funding and making a less. It’s less about the facade more about the corporate side of things, it brings attention and opens negotiations

lea's vocals are actually good as i heard her before, and many other contestants who were eliminated are also really good vocalists, but she and others weren't trained by trainers like other survival shows, they did it all on their own, and many of them weren't even trained under any company at all so of course they weren't ready, and the show itself was exposed for many things including manipulation of audio, but yes kelly winning first place was definitely because she is famous in tiktok.

You sure? As far as i know only early produce seasons are famous. Ioi and wannaone especially. Even kep1er didnt match the debut hype. Wadada is good and they are gone. Boys planet is hyped throughout the show and the boys are really good. But the debut mv is so bad, like a 2015 kind of mv. Not to mention the song completely shadowed their potentials. After that, ​the songs after does not feel even better. Im honestly impressed that they sold million (was it?) albums even with bad songs. I think they plan to make this “Survival show” so their PI agency talents can be part of the idol group but if they are going to do that why bother making a show and just train the talents they have if they really wanted Kelly Kim and friends be part of their created Idol Group. Kelly and Lea are not the only PI talent that join the contest Seoyeon Hyun (103.82a) was also part of the agency and is best friends with the two. She would have probably been part of the group if the agency has the full power to choose the members. Honestly haven’t really seen her speak a lot with her tiktok videos unless it was on her livestream so I can’t really see her sing which is a key part of being an idol so I guess it’s ok that she wasn’t chosen to be part of their group she needs to improve that part if she wants to join an idol group unless it is a dance group.

I'm not gonna lie I actually had some hope for this survival show even though it was super sketchy from the start. after 1st round I KNEW this was not it. Dalia was my number 1 pick and i really hoped for the best for her, but after every round that passed by, I just hoped she would get eliminated. i got mad when they tried to sabotage dalia. in her first performance she had to use someones ear peace cause she didnt have one/bought one and she couldnt hear the music well. on her second performance she bought her own ear peace, she sang and danced to abcd by nayeon. you can see how frustrated she was because the mic wasnt working properlly and she couldnt hear anything. in one scene you can see that she pointed to her in peace to the producers so they make it louder. it made me so mad. i lit stopped watching them after she got eliminated.

I didn't follow the show too much but I checked in when it popped up on my Instagram feed. I watched some clips of the girls singing and there were maybe 5 or 6 girls including Lea who had some decent potential....Kelly Kim was not one of them 😅 I don't hate her, but I will agree that her singing and dancing was not the best. She is totally gorgeous though and can make it as a model or brand ambassador...not so much an idol. Who knows, maybe the company will give them all some strong vocal and dance lessons.
