That’s awesome that you got to experience Buttercup! I go there 5-6 times per year during the winter months and camp there for 3-5 days every time. It’s crazy to me how there’s always something new you find there and never gets old!

Thats number one thing This my favorite channel for atv off-road. Safety Safety. I almost killed my self back on 2019 had gotten a brand new polaris razor 1000xp turbo. Deleted it tuned it straight pipe it. Thought I was iron man nothing could happen to me. Second time riding threw the seat belt behind me because it won’t go more than 15mph without your seat belt. Hit a curve a lil too fast back tire came out rim sinked into dirt flipped couple times on the air, felt like a rag doll couldn’t do nothing to stop it. It spit me out landed on top of a bush. In my mind I thank God was fine. Getting up looked to the side razor was coming in slow motion like super slow was stopping already just the corner of the roof broke my face and clavicle. Dumb me wasn’t wearing a helmet. Now I really am iron man 😂 got plates and screws on my face right side cheek bone. Broken clavicle got plates and screws on my foot too. My eyes almost popped out lost my vision couldn’t breath. They flew me from Pecos TX to Midland TX. Now I wear all my gear helmet had to learn it the hard way. So when I see someone not wearing their gear I just think y’all selfish aren’t thinking about our loved ones. The day before yesterday my 6 year old flipped on his 2020 raptor 90. He got some bruises and sore he good thank Good. I make him wear his gear and helmet if not it would of been ugly. Keep doing what you doing brother Pete. Awesome!!!

Wow very scary experience! It sounds like you’ve recovered and are able to play again thank gosh! People always say it’s not if you crash, it’s when. I’ve done handlebar sports my whole life and I’ve wrecked countless times. I would never do these things without a helmet on. Sometimes we learn the hard way but it sounds like you’ve made the best of it and moved forward as I have in the past. Thanks for the compliments Gilberto 😊🙏

I got defensive @12:12. Watching this video brings me a lot of memories. My first trip to Buttercup was in the beginning of 88 I was 9mo old in an infant carrier whilst my mother hit the valleys on her 200s ATC. I am most familiar with Buttercup of all the Imperial, and that sand was definitely there a year ago, LOL. Not mad, just defensive, because it not quite accurate. There was some super cool spots to see in Mexico towards Algodones, Like Blow Hole, a dune that was more of a Funnel, or cyclone of sand. You could be wide open throttle in a complete circle, carving towards the top. I miss those dunes, Buttercup lost about a half of its riding area to that fence (look it up on Google maps, you can see the white line of the fence). Missing Dune Season.

Thanks man! I hope to talk about the differences between both machines later this season. I haven’t trail ridden the YFZ much so I’m excited to get it out in the woods! If your riding aggressively and racing some XC your definitely gonna want the 450 platform, the seating position is much more practical. The raptor is perfect for more casual paced riding. It’s kinda like comparing a hellcat to a corvette 😅👍

Glamis will have smooth dunes with sharp razor backs after a good wind storm. Buttercup and Glamis are the same. One is at the other end of the dune range and not as frequented as the other. You can still always get snooty dunes on the Glamis side but you just have to go farther in. It’s better than way anyways. You avoid the stupid people who might crash into you. Go down Gecko Road and keep going toward the Wall.
