Thanks for sharing with us all. Beautiful Vancouver is a great place to visit as a tourist. For Canadians, its cost of housing is so exorbitant that it precludes many Canadian from working and living in the area. This phenomenon creates ongoing social, economical and political issues that emanate within their city streets.

My wife is born and raised in China (Made in China)! I really enjoyed my time visiting China and family there. The historic sites there are like the gardens, but the city is ultra modern, with night Street food and goods markets that are amazing. One interesting thing I found is that the historic buildings mostly have burned down over time and the historic buildings you visit are mostly just recreations. The great wall is authentic though, and it is preserved in the main visitor locations. What I have found is that Chinese restaurants here serve stereotypical American Chinese dishes, but you need to see the real menu for authentic dishes which are a thousand times even more amazing. Mapo Tofu is good. Wuhan noodles are fantastic (really a breakfast dish). I love Chinese culture in China, it is incredible. Having a Chinese wife means I get to have authentic amazing dishes! The Chinese really have perfected the culinary arts. I highly recommend a trip, Beijing is probably a good introduction to China, but I loved Wuhan more, especially the art lights show on the buildings on the Yangtze river, one of the most amazing things I have seen!

I live near Port Angeles on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. My friends and I decided to go to Circus Solie' that was playing in downtown Vancouver, not far from your Air B And B. I drove my friends and I to the circus and back that same night. Our fun trip included two ferry boats, two border crossings and lovely scenic roads. We spent about 12 hours traveling to and from downtown Vancouver. The circus was worth it! The lodging prices in Vancouver stopped us from spending the night there! You sure found a nice place to stay.

7:06. What in the heck is Redi Killowatt doing in Vancouver’s China Town? That character was the mascot of what was known at that time as Indianapolis Power and Light back when I was a kid in the 70’s. That’s crazy that he would end up on the side of a building there.

The garden looks absolutely beautiful but I don't understand why one side is free and you have to pay to see the other side. It doesn't make sense to me. I'm surprised that even Canada has Chinatown. The food looked wonderful. I love Chinese food but I'm sure real Chinese food is different than what we have here. You guys are making unforgettable memories and I appreciate you sharing them. Your cruise videos have inspired my husband and I to want to take an anniversary cruise sometime.
