One of the World's Best Peking Duck | Visiting Vancouver's Chinatown

As the new year begins, I look forward to going to visiting many new places and have been reminiscing on the buffets I've dined at over the last year. The Dragon Pearl in Toronto was fantastic and so was the amazing buffet in Queens New York; all of whom served Peking duck, and this spurred on my craving for some crispy, juicy, fatty Peking/Beijing Duck.
Luckily in Vancouver, there is a wonderful place for such a magnificent feast. Quan Ju De is a world famous Peking Duck restaurant with the first restaurant having started over 150 years ago. Serving approximately 2 million ducks a year, I was about to add to that number and make it 2,000,001. QJD opened a branch in Vancouver and I am grateful to give it a try. It also gets better because I'm joined by my two very good friend, Monique and her daughter Harmony.
But before meeting up, I thought I'd get Harmony some sweet treats and that would take a visit to my favorite donut shop which just happens to be in Vancouver's Chinatown. While exploring the Chinatown area, I worked up a bit of an appetited and happy to have found new stores opening up; one of which was a Singaporean Restaurant with great Laksa, Singaporean coffee - copi, and a fantastic pulled tea - Teh Tarik

That was an impressive meal! I would love to travel there just to eat at QJD! The Laksa, hot drinks and donuts looked scrumptious at the other place, too! I love how thoughtfully you had treated everyone and the way Harmony poured tea for everyone. Everything looked clean, stylish and elegant. The service was excellent and even the waiter looked really beautiful! Everyone in the video looked gorgeous! I feel happy after watching this video! Another great video, Tim! Yummy doughnuts you got for the second dessert; you are always so thoughtful of others! You were only served the duck breast...what did they do with the rest of the duck? For the price you paid, they should have used the rest of the duck to make other dishes. I've seen other videos where they stir fried the other meaty parts and used the carcass to make soup.

Thank you Sally! They carved up the duck pretty well so we got quite a bit of meat there. They also gave us the bones to pack home for soup! I think that's one of the general ways they do it there, but yes, I do enjoy the multiple courses of duck at other places😋
