I've been dying slowly for 2 days trying to figure out exactly how to do this and frankly , displacement maps and nodes scare me. Wish I could just make a turntable for my reel inside of Painter itself to side step this process but it only makes sense that I'd have to do it this way at some point. Thank you so much man

Did the result you get from rendering in arnold look similar in Iray substance painter? Also real life saver. I didn''t know why the textures were going into maya all jenky looking Thanks!!

why you do not use arnold 5 preset?

Because the new aiStandardSurface in maya uses the standard PBR workflow with a metallic map. The Arnold present in painter creates a Fresnel map(F0) switch is not needed for the shader.

Strange. I have substance painter 2018.1 and config named Arnold 5 (AiStandard) does not produce F0.

Just checked in painter 2018.1, they updated the preset to the correct maps. I was using 2017.3.
