I’m surprised there was a court room so clean and well built like that. And those cameras, too. It’s weird that here in the US - and probably all other countries not in Africa too, don’t know what’s really going on there or how well off it is, etc. Is there like cities there and urban areas? All I’ve seen is either hut houses in pure grasslands, or tiny houses made of clay as neighborhoods

@@AfraidMonsters 😂🇿🇦 don't forget lions and elephants walking amongst us. Jokes aside, of course Africa is wild but we are also quite civilised, I'm pleased to tell you. KZbin has a plethora of travel channels and a lot of them are to South Africa, you should take a look. I live in a province which has the ocean, loads of game reserves and the Drakensberg which is a majestic range of mountains. We are a diverse nation, with rural areas, farms and big cities with lots in between. South Africa isn't a first world country like yours, our judicial system is testament to that. I LOVE watching US court cases! We are also, sadly, a crime ridden nation and that's what breaks my heart. 🇿🇦🩷 A stunning country but failing in so many, many ways.

I've had 2 people in my life that lied about having cancer! 1st was my Aunt who faked breast cancer for 2.5 yrs, in the chance my Uncle would stop cheating. 2nd was my ex who, within a few weeks of both my Uncle and Grandpa dying from lung cancer, came home to tell me he had lung cancer and only 6 mths to live. We sat up all night crying and talking about his end of life wishes; things like his will, cremation, and at what point he wanted to say goodbye to me and my daughter (he was her only father figure for the first 3.5 yrs of her life) because he didn't want us to see him that way. It was all lies! That was the straw that broke the camel's back. I knew by then he was a pathological liar, but honestly, how sick in the head do you have to be to play with people's emotions in such a traumatic way!?! 🤦

I wonder if your ex is the same guy as some dude I used to know. He also pretended to have lung cancer which turned out to be a lie. He wasn't a boyfriend but someone I believed to be a friend. He was Pakistani but claimed to be Brazilian. If this rings a bell, we are talking about the same person. Never mind sick in the head - they are possessed by something not good!

The Belle Gibson story really surprises me that it lasted so long. As soon as she mentioned cancer treatments, surely some skeptical Internet sleuth would have somehow learned she hadn't even been going to the hospital.

BELLE GIBSON and her vile actions REALLY grind my gears. She should be firmly, eternally and securely locked away from regular people. She is a VERY dangerous woman, who has (and could in the future) cause huge and devastating harm especially to highly vulnerable and empathic people, and also to people in general. I only reason I hesitate in using the words "narcissist" and "Psychopath" to describe her, is because I am not qualified to make those judgments. I sympathize with her thousands of victims.

Before it all came out, I heard someone in the supermarket talking to their friend about how "big pharma" must be shaking in their boots because Gibson's recipe for killing cancer was "the real deal". That seemed unlikely so I looked it when I got home and, to someone not caught up in the maelstrom of cancer diagnosis and treatment, it all looked like smoke and mirrors to me. Then I forgot about it, until it hit the news as being all smoke and mirrors.

I have very strong feelings towards Belle as well. To know that she is free to continue her life, leeching from minority groups to hide and continue living her life like nothing happened. I am a cancer survivor myself and her lies ruined so many lives and that hurts deeply. If I met her, I would be honoured to head butt her 🤬

Women who have been told their entire lives that they are unattractive and undesirable are very vulnerable to romance scams. Society further victim blames them when they get scammed and mocks them, calls them "old and ugly" and tells them they should be happy knitting for the grandkids or getting dogs. Imagine a lifetime of getting told this, and getting treated like something on someone's shoe. Eventually even the strongest of such women hopes that maybe online she will find someone who at least shows her a bit of respect.
