Nice content, but you have to make sure you get the right sunflower seed variety for your region or country. For example Kenya has developed a hardy drought tolerant variety black oil sunflower for oil and a hybrid vairety of grey seeds for snacks.

Good content as always. Quick question: Are you talking of 10 hectares or 10 acres? 10 hectares is about 24 acres - that's pretty steep as a startup investment given that in Tanzania agricultural loans/financing are pretty hard to come by. Nevertheless, good information as always - thank you!!

The only issue l would have with sunflower is processed sunflower oils. Processed oils are linked to a lot of health issues mainly inflammation in the body. If the sunflower can be used for something else, there is no problem.

If you’ve got a well-drained nsandy loam with a pH level between 6.0 and 7.5. Just do your due diligence
