Well to be fair the 80s were coming from the seventies which a lot of people did not have any jobs so in the early 80s a lot of rock pop music just exploded in a lot of bars and scenes Somebody else was mentioning that music had gotten overpriced Yeah in the beginning when it was in the bars and elsewhere it was very cheap and reasonable for a lot of people to attend

When his grandfather asks him why it is that he is crying, the kid replies with a question of his own : "why is it that I can't do what those guys do?". And then kid looks up ...... and his grandfather is crying too.

I'm inclined to say that having much of a future was slightly less in doubt at the time. Sure, we had the specter of an extinction-level "spasm war" dangling over our heads until late 1989, but the "destroy from within" operatives were nowhere near as close to completing their sick mission as they came in 2020. There are people trying to get the January 6 gang to squeal on their associates (the September 11 gang, whose crimes were of the same spirit as the Birmingham church bombers).

I have to admit, I was not a fan, we used to like Rush, AC/DC and other bands in high school and still do. Then new wave in mid to late 80s and still do, love all of that music, but this song by Expose has a special place in my heart. I liked a girl who really liked me and we started to date, which went on for 2.5 years after that. This was one of her favorite songs and even though it was not my type of music, I recall driving to NYC via Lincoln Tunnel with friends and one of them playing this song for her, she enjoying it so much, smiling and having a great time, one of our first real dates and it was so beautiful and so memorable. We went our separate ways and eventually stayed friends from time to time, but something happened a year ago, at the young age of 51, she lost her battle to cancer. It was a devastating moment for a lot of us friends, but especially very hard for me, remembering her always smiling and laughing, dancing and enjoying life. I can't recall how many times I thought about this song, but didn't have enough strength to play it, until now. RIP my beautiful friend, and just know that you will be remembered through our thoughts, our memories and through the music that you brought into our circle of friends and my life.

Exposé yes! Epic 80's. This one was my favorite song by this group. They had hit after hit. I can remember hearing their music everywhere; on the radio, at the mall, the roller skating rink! It was so popular & I can still see why.❤ Such energy! Today's artists can't compare. I'm glad this was part of my childhood memories. Born in '82, a simpler decade. Fashion, style, music, dance was everything. I'm 42 now & was just a kid when this came out but loved it then, still love it now.😊
