No they will not. We will sell the item for what we buy it in as. Even if it's been bought in incorrectly. I've had multiple instances where we bought in A grade as B grades accidentally and my managers just said it'll be a nice surprise for the customer who buys it. Now we may be one of the nicer stores but it is not policy to put the grade up just to scam people out of money and for us to make more

Legally stores don’t have to offer any kind of return policy if it’s goodwill. CEX has always offered a goodwill policy that is back to store credit if returned within 48 hours. It’s like when you buy something from a clothes shop and u don’t like it or it doesn’t fit when u get home and u take it back they’ll give u a store credit most of the time, it’s to stop people abusing the system of playing games and then returning them for the full value, there would be no business in that.

This is the problem in store. Every used phone I take in is always graded a C. Online they are nearly always B. I think the cost of posting them back if you don’t accept a downgrade may influence this

Actually, he got it wrong, it won’t be a grade because it wasn’t sealed. We only buy or sell a grade if it was sealed at the trade in, it’ll be B grade. Even then, if they’re a franchise store not a corporate store and they do decide that they’ll sell it A grade regardless, a scratch on the side will make it B grade because A grade HAS no have 0 signs of use. It’s not scamming, it’s the rules.

Dude I used to work in CeX, policy as fucked as it was, if a phone came in with the original box it was automatically grade A for selling the phone. However you were encouraged to buy low sell high, I hated the place and eventually got fired for arriving late if you arrive late once you're put on a 3 month late probation so you can't be late in that time period, easy out. The profit those bastids where making

A superficial scratch on the side of the phone, looks more like a hairline scratch. All the tech in cex has thousands of scratches. Next time take photos, so if they damage you're item, you can sue them.

@@3.7Million I recently had a frustrating experience at Cex in St David's.Cardiff. I brought in my MacBook Air M1, which looked practically new with its full box and accessories. Despite minimal wear and tear, the staff, particularly a rather stringent lady, insisted on grading it as "B" due to barely noticeable scratches. The quoted price of £410 fell significantly below my expectations, leaving me disappointed. Luckily, I went to the Roath Cex later, where my laptop was assessed as "A" with a fair price. This is not fare when they sell things graded A with minimum wear and tear we should be reasonable when you buy things it's different case,if you are saying you guys telling we only sell things with full box and accessories having not even a single scratch as grade I have proof things that I bought it saying otherwise. I gues it all depends on the staff who works there

@@healthbeauty7853 this wouldn’t make a difference as cex’s policy is that if you bring in a sealed product that they should ask you to unseal it once you are happy with the price quoted this way there’s no ‘you made that mark or scratch whilst testing it’ etc etc. if they take in a sealed product without asking the customer to unseal it first then the stores/staff doing this are breaking policy.
