The other ones being more edited do feel more professional and less like some random guy in the military talking about his experience and more of a valid explanation. Even though both are valid explanations as long as they actually explain. But one just feels more trustable. Also I think you should try and step out of the just talking category and maybe start going into stuff like "my diet as a Army Soldier", or "My workout routine in the military". Just more content ideas and maybe more informative in other ways. I like all your videos but everyone can improve more and more.

Your content is a good look into life as a soldier I can relate! Some days are long and grimy and some are hurried up and wait!! And I’ve seen you cover both so. I used my GI bill to go to college I finished up at 32 because of marriage, kids and bills! Then started retirement all over and I have partners that did the 20 years and got out at 37 with their degree with no worries about retirement because it is already covered and they have full time jobs making 6 figures! @@alixflint3589 it was pretty tough back then a lot of things were happening that didn’t get reported I think President George Bush JR. signed the Korea Defense Service Medal KDSM that allows us to join the VFW (Veterans Of Foreign Wars) meaning they declassified our mission after we turned over the DMZ defense to the Koreans I think late 90s or 2000s. That place was very primitive back then and the North Korea first leader was in power which is Kim’s Grandfather!!

Every complaint or criticism this side had about the military can be said about a job in the civilian world. It’s actually worse for unskilled labor which most people are that enlist in the military. A small percentage of people actually get everything they can get out of the military while the majority that were shit birds before they joined remain shit birds while serving and then return back to the streets a slightly more disciplined shit bird.

Your experiences and expressing them have made me feel more comfortable about joining. i think my comment came off wrong. I was initially replying to someone saying they just took the asvab and are joining because your life looked like so much fun. Which is why i simply stated it’s not all like your videos, *because* of what you said in this vid, that your vids are highly edited and obviously are going to be showing the best parts. Don’t get me wrong dawg i love your vids and the information you have given for people trying to join is a major role in why i joined not going to lie. You didnt deceive me at all as you were trying your best to give people all the information but when someone sees a video of your life in korea (very above average military experience) i was simply warning that they may want to rethink and look at some of the downsides too (reason why this is actually a pretty good video to make) I’ve been subbed for a while and actually met you at the waukegan recruiting office so you may remember that i’m not far into my army journey (essentially saying i don’t have all the experience in the world, in fact far from it) so i don’t want to make it seem like you’re trying to misinform/ just get people to join.

Really not much you can do to deal with toxic leadership (and in the army you will have really toxic commanders who will do things like send you to the field more to make themselves look good so they can get promoted to the next officer rank, and that includes sending soldiers to the field on crutches) except take it day by day until your contract comes up, which means it's a good idea to sign the shortest contract possible .

8:31 "cant even put your hands in your pockets" nowadays that is specific to the army and marines. The other branches now allow their members to put their hands in their pockets (although i cant imagine them doing so while talking to superiors). The Air force also, from what ive seen with my own eyes from working with them, lets their members also untuck their PT shirts (whenever they even do PT to be wearing a PT uniform). While im not completely sure about this, i have with my own eyes, saw someone in a navy uniform yse an umbrella in the rain. know in the army definitely you better not be seen carrying an umbrella in uniform. I was yelled for wearing my hoodie on my rainjacket in the rain one time too, which is also something you probably wouldnt see with the other branches. Soldiers in the army would rather just let themselves get soaked in the rain instead of putting the goddamned hoodie thats on their rain jacket.

Military is good if you have no guidance or have zero economic opportunities. If you have guidance or have opportunities, you don't need the military. Hell it'd be incredibly stupid if you had the opportunities and still decided the military was good out of some sense of duty or adventure. You lose your civilian freedoms that are taken for granted and become institutionalized (for some that's a perk lol). Poverty draft is real. Somebody gotta do it and it's not going to be me lol.
