As a person who’s Sicilian and Black, I see where you’re coming from. However, in America, people had the 1 drop rule that said if you even had 1 drop of Black, you were Black. So for a long time biracial people were and still are considered Black in America. We don’t have the luxury of identifying with our non-Black side. This has caused people in the Black community to be hyper aware of not only physical attribute, but also behavioural ones. Black people usually can tell, I knew she was part Black immediately. It’s in the face, hair, and also her ‘vibe’. I’m not sure how to say this, but just like I can recognize Italians from Italy in America, I can just recognize Black people through experience and a shared culture.

@@BybeeBunnie As someone in a similar situation to Megan, I actually experienced quite the opposite idea from common American culture. There's such a strong focus on the divide and identification that, if you do not align with preconceived notions of what a race may present like, you wont be accepted in your demographic. You will be put *into* a label that is inaccurate and solely reliant on people's perception of you rather than reality. I'm a pale mixed race woman and even with (at least to me) apparent traits from my black blood, it is pulling teeth to be included in black conversations because I lack the more overt features that black people bond over being ostracized with. Besides my skin being pale, my hair isn't kinky coily and I've heard plenty of other strange observations like my lips or nose being "too small for me to possibly be black". Feeling "not allowed" to express the black culture I grew up with just because I don't look like my family hurts, and while it very understandably comes from a feeling of craving power after societal trauma ("this is my chance to exclude someone else and feel more relevant in the setting than others now") it's no less unfair to any child who wants to live authentically, ya know? There was some very MISGUIDED part of me as a child growing up that even wished we still cared about the one-drop rule because then people would actually take my blackness into account for once. While it would've led to more widespread pain, I thought I would have grown up with more of a sense of community that way? lol Sorry, this whole rant was barely related but I felt I had to put my two cents in (:

Back then, diana was likely the biggest thing worth talking about with tabloids and television, but now we have the internet. Initially, when she first married Charles the royal family loved her because she was pretty, of a high class, respectful, etc. Then as time went on and she started to realize how much people adored her, she used that to her advantage to bring attention to charities and organizations she liked, and so on. This is a massive oversimplification but basically, the royal family is very stuck in their traditions and when they saw Diana trying to do her own thing within the monarchy, they didn't like that. This is why some people think the royal family had Diana killed. They wanted her out of the way(also people liked Diana a lot more than the royal family)

Quick input about Diana: The family liked Diana a lot at the begining. a lot of members of the RF pressured Charles into marrying her because they thought she could be easily controlled. However, what Diana didn't know (but the RF did!) Charles was in love with another woman (a divorcee named Camilla Parker-Bowles) whom he wasn't allowed to marry (divorcee). After he married Diana, he had a continuous affair with Camilla and didn't even care to cover it up very much. Diana felt betrayed, alone and trapped. From doing charity work and being relatable (e.g. as a mother) she became extremely popular and gained power from that. I think she was the only popular royal out there at the time. She did have an affair with a red-haired man but that was long after she had been humiliated by her husband and his family over and over again. Btw. he's married to the woman he had the affair with now. Because of his horrible behaviour towards his ex-wife and his general weird failures (google: "Prince Charles - tampon") he is extremely unpopular. There are speculations about him becoming king would be the end of the RF.

English 21 year old here - most kids my age don't really give a shit about the royal family. Some really dislike, me personally don't care either way. Older people like them because they were such an icon during the war and represent when Britain was the most powerful country in the world. I think now people like them because they're so engraged in our culture. About the Diana conspiracy... I am actually getting pissed...There was never anything questionable about it: She and her lover (which she couldn’t openly date because of the scandal it would awoke), were chased by the paparazzi. It was a a car chase, the paparazzi cut them off and their car rammed into the tunnel. Diana, her lover (who also happened to be the son of the owner of Harrods, who also constantly was stalked by the media) and the driver were fucking crushed! AND then the paparazzi had the audacity to take pictures of this car crash! And it’s nothing I just heard of, because the tabloids were full of it. Back then those newspapers were sold everywhere and it effing traumatised me as a child. The pictures were NOT censored what so ever here in Europe. They are probably still online. They were taken on the spot before any ambulance arrived or was seen. And the worst thing is, there were multiple people taking pictures, who all decided that those pictures were worth more than trying help. And they were right, because those pictures were sold everywhere around the world. The conspiracies here piss me off more than anything, because they were made up by the boulevard media. The same people who harassed Charles and Diana, as well as the kids for years and who basically killed Diana. And it shocks me as to how easy people buy that shit, not realising that the royal family is basically used as merchandise, open publicity and basic distraction by the British government...lAND yes I am talking to all the “the crown” viewers, who think that show is factually accurate, which if you are a bit older and you were actually present during some of the events, you realise, it really isn’t.

Archie was going to be a prince still because when Elizabeth dies Charles will become King meaning Archie will get his title and until the age of 18 he will decide if he still wants it or not. What Harry and Meghan were saying is that they wanted to change that rule when Archie was born showing they didn't want a baby with African heritage having a prince title. Even William's kids aren't supposed to have Prince or princess titles yet until Charles becomes King but they decided to change the rules for them, even if he(Archie) wouldn't get a prince title everyone was expecting him to at least get the Earl title. Zara didn't get a title because Anne chose not to give Zara title. Also in conclusion titles give security to royals that's also one of the reasons they didn't want to give Archie a title so he doesn't recieve security.

The queen still has all her old powers she just doesn’t want to be beheaded French Revolution style so she distributed the power even more, But the monarch still holds the power to retract the distribution of power and take over 100%.(I guess this was changed in 2011 from what I’m reading there could be a loophole for her, but it seems like it wouldn’t be a option even if it is there for future monarchs.)

Part of the reason why they might have planned the accident was because after her divorce she was still considered a royal as her son would one day be king. This means she kept all the expensive benefits as well as trying to get her sons to live a more "normal life". The royals wouldn't have liked that as it meant they would have autonomy rather than stick to the status quo. Looks like Diana succeeded with preventing some of the brainwashing considering Harry jumped ship. Diana also had a lot of information to expose. She conducted several interviews that severely pissed of the royals because she exposed Charles for what he is: a total arsehole.
