@hunglikehorse4339 - Maybe not 100% secure but there is a monstrous diff in city and non city. You obviously live in a big city or you wouldn't say that. I left the big city 10 years ago. I go back to visit family and friends but believe me, there is a huge diff in safety. I don't have the restrictions big cities have. Where I live the cops think you're crazy if you don't have guns. Any kind of gun. Any kind of weapon here is legal. We carry openly here. We don't have to worry about big cities. You'll run out of gas several hundred miles before you get close to where I live. And my dogs.... hear everything. We have mountain lions here. Coyotes eat the scraps. Mountain lions and coyotes do our dirty work for us. We understand each other.

At that time I don't think I would have., which is scary because I'd be stuck in the city with everyone else. Our rule now is: It's better to get out to the retreat and risk a 'false alarm' than to be stuck with little hope of ever getting out.
