I’ve found even open box items are insane value, for what is still a “new” device, it’s just not sealed anymore, I saved £350 on my iPhone 15 Pro Max just because it had a few cycles on the battery, I’ve already AppleCared it so if the battery gets bad I get a free replacement. My Canon EOS M100 was literally brand new, saved probably £200 on it. can’t believe people buy junk because “it’s cheap”.

I've found many A mount lenses like new for my A77II, Minolta from ebay, and I could gladly say "every lens I have is F/2.8 and brighter" because thanks to used market I could get three 2.8-1.4 lenses for the price of a single new 5.6-6.7 zoom lens.

The thing that throws me off is the "lens switching" at 3:36. The tint shifts, and the quality increases- just like a phone transitioning between lenses. I guess it can't process the whole video at once, so at a certain zoom increment, it uses the center resolution. Maybe when it is equivalent to 720p of the 3.2K?

There are tons of Chinese made games emulators that ship with Nintendo ROMs, I'm surprised none of these camera manufacturers have implemented Fuji/Kodak/Ilford/Fomapan/Agfa film sims. Even if its not great, they can sell it based on the "vibes". It would sell like crazy and a lot of these companies don't seem to care about intellectual property.

Long-time subscriber. I jumped in back when you bought those used cinema cameras. About these shoddy fake cameras, it seems as if such blatant lying on the product pages would be illegal. Oh well. I don't agree with the conclusion that these "might be a good value to play with for kids or something" because, at these prices, new or used genuine cameras with actual specs and decent sensors can be had. Heck, even giving a kid a cheap used smartphone would offer better performance than these inexcusably hobbled things. I still use two 2016-era Galaxy S7 Active phones for 4K video. The video looks nearly as good as that of my better cameras (until I push it with fast movement or extreme lighting). They cost $20 each because of slight screen burn-in but the cameras work perfectly. They use the SONY IMX260 sensor, which is equal to or better than the SONY sensors used in these junk cameras, and the phones have much better support circuitry for more consistent frame rates and so on.

I "love" seeing these. They are always, ALWAYS, some crappy old webcam sensor setup. Just packaged in different plastic covers. And the 4k? Ah the miracles of oversampling and stretching. Sound quality? Through that tiny little mono microphone?? Suuuure. But hey if you want your footage to look like it is shot using a 15 year old "my first digital camera" camera? Go ahead! Best is the 8k super video recorders... for just around 100 dollars. SUUUURE.

I am sorry to say but in consumer market specs are for fools. We suppose to buy product we want for the results it assures , not for specific specs. I purchased 20 year ago "no brand" camera which was both cheap, had outdated sensor and promiseed max 5MP resolution. Very small,. handy. Eventualy I decided even max 2 MP was enough for me. I did with it my best beloved my me photos at night, day and technical. Unfortunetely it committed (in my opinion) suicide - while lying od narrow place it automaticaly pushed it's lense out , pushed from the wall and fall down with lense out. Mechanical damage. I Have much more prized big canon, also "brand" small camersa but I cant't get exactly the same beauty from them.

If you need A CAMERA to dip your toes in photography on the cheap, the older DSLRs can be found for 50-60USD/EUR on the used market. Hell, I'll even give one to you for free. You'd be better off getting an older mirrorless like A6000 (200USD) for the convenience, DSLRs tend to be rather clunky, but still... Don't be afraid of used gear. Vast majority of used cameras have barely a few thousand shots on them and they last practically forever. My last A6000 shutter lasted for 173.000 pictures. I just swapped the main board and sensor to another body so it's still alive. BUY USED!..

I have a real camcorder that is ultra nostalgic than another one that is just plain nostalgic. The ultra nostalgic one is a DED Sony and the just a nostalgic one is a Samsung, which is literally more modern, but uses a D pad while the Sony is a pressure sensitive touch screen?

Anyone should be able to figure out that you don't get a 40 mega pixel camera for £50 it is more like a 5 mega pixel sensor with software upscaling it's sad that the camera manufacturers can get away with the bald face lies that they use

. It is assumption that inside camera having 40 MP resolution is appled the same sensor. The same assumption is that with application of 40 MP sensor pictures will have this resoution. Such resoultion is available not in average snap shot - it iis available only in laboratory steady shot test while in case of video camera computer electronic is reponsible for what we get.

Producers offer to average people products they never asked ( how many of 1000 buyers will ever notice advantage of 40 MP?) and it is confusing. It is result of pressure from average people who pretend to be specialists, are guided by ads and dismiss everything with "outdated " properties This race is created by digital - in analog photography wasn't any discusssion about resolution - this was subject important for spy planes
