Speaking of express closing all these stores , my sister is a manager for express and has worked there for over 10 years and is losing her job and any stability she thought she had. It’s a shame because she found out 3 weeks before she was being fired and the store was closing giving her no time to look for any other jobs. It’s sad but at least you found a bomb ass statement necklace 😂 ! The polka dot button up was my fav in 2008-2011 !

Express, LOFT = Grandma clothes but with cheap material. Meanwhile other retailers offer better designs/quality for lower price.

I am not in the USA but in Europe I get that feeling a lot too, especially with H&M which has been my go to since my teen years because it was thes best price/quality brand out there, and since a few years it's gone really down. A lot of stuff is now polyester and/or see through, unless you go for the much more pricy items :(

This is true. They began outsourcing cheap labor and cheap materials in the 90’s and it showed with the quality and cut. Thai allowed Express to gain more profit and the expense of quality. I stopped buying there decades ago.

Maaaaaan the memories. Btwn Chatlotte Russe, Delia’s, Claires, The Limited, VS, the many many kiosks at the mall, Rainbow, Express, etc ahhhh these stores “raised” many of us millennials kids!!! It’s good we at least still got a few of em, but damn this is how I felt when CR went outta business… but last yr some time I went to an indoor mall (which I never do anymore) and I spotted one. There was a Structure Jeans connected to the Express in the mall in the next town over. My boyfriend always wore their jeans and they were the absolute best to borrow for low ride jeans. I was very upset when they closed and an Express for Men popped up next to them. I never knew next door this was happening at Express but I did find some Christmas gifts for my sister there occasionally.
