One thing I really like about Japanese culture is that they express their love less verbally then most other countries. Why? Because, I hear it so often that it's cheap. I almost never say it. So when I do, the people involved know that it has a deep meaning attached. To me, you're expressing the thing that is most sacred to you and hopefully those you share it with. How much you absolutely value that person in words. Further, I think it best to give value to words through action and self-sacrifice. If I love my wife, and spend years of my life for her, I think that says much more than spouting off a word every 5 minutes. The value being the sacrifice made of time and effort given from me to her. Needlessly to say, if done right (true intent and meaning), the more you're together and treat each other in this manner, the more valuable that love becomes between you and the more valuable to each other you each become.

のことが きになってる = I'm in the mood of/for... OR I'm interested in... のことが きになてる = I'm worried about Are these translations correct? Does "small tsu" make these differences in sentences? And congratulations for the channel and the videos. I'm starting to learn, and I liked the grammar videos, but I also really liked these videos about cultural aspects of Japan and the Japanese. Miku has a very pleasant and friendly presence (as well as being very pretty) and, above all, you explain well. Best of luck for your work.

18:20 couldn't you also say "へー、ミクいいな" or something like that? "Like" in the context of his question is about liking someone as a person (in a platonic/friendly way), and I'd think that いい works to communicate that idea.

So if I'm in a bar in Japan and I walk up to an attractive woman, can I say something like, 'Hi, I just noticed you and thought you were pretty and wanted to meet you.' Or is that too direct? How should I start a conversation?

I would not even ask someone out on a date, even in English! But that might just be me... On the other hand, if you 遊びに行くwith someone (付き合ったない!), and they are acting inappropriately (for you!), I learnt from a Japanese movie, you can just say, 「ちょっと。。。」, right?

Omg i used to learn British English at papa English channel two years ago and i wasn't even able to understand all of his videos because my english sucked ! *Still bad but it's much better now, i'm at a B1 or B2 level* )): i honestly felt so warm seeing him on the thumbnail ! Never expected to meet him again in my Japanese learning journey !!! It's like meeting your primary school teacher at university ): *btw his accent is horrible, i started learning Japanese 2 months ago and i can do a better impression than him*
