Thank you for your channel. I’ve watched just about every Arabic language channel on KZbin. This is one of the best. You speak clearly and slowly enough that I can understand.

I just wanted to tell you how great your lessons are. All the elements are there for a beginner like me to progress. The pacing between stages is great. If anyone wants some advice on how to use this material to its full extent you can do as follows: Student, alone: 1) Start by closing your eyes and listening to the phrase, then rewind back 5 seconds a couple times to hear the "music" of the sentence. Attempt to repeat 2) Then for those interested in learning how to read, try to read the sentence in Arabic without looking at the phonetic equivalent. Helps to know the alphabet beforehand of course. With teacher: 3) Next follow along as teacher breaks down the sentence word by word. Work on pronunciation. 4) Finally follow along with the whole sentence a few times. As a teacher myself, I commend you on your work, it's really well done and intuitive. Thank you again!

I'm struggling with learning the Egyptian Arabic dialect so I'm looking into maybe learning the Levantine dialect instead but wanna know some things first. Does the Levantine dialect have vowel shortenings when you combine pronoun suffixes into nouns and verbs?

*Mar7aba estaza, at **0:33** I notice that be ra'-ye ends in a double-ya (two ya's):Could a shadda be optionally used over one ya thus writing it only once but lenghtening its pronunciation to that of two ya's because of the shadda? Shukran.*

مرحبا I love this channel!!! Im trying to find sources of continuously spoken Levantine Arabic eg tv dramas, movies, podcasts or youtubers. Particularly from Gaza, if possible. Can anybody give me their recommendations please?
@riceandramen4 жыл бұрын
Hi...there is a free app from Beirut called Cinemoz...it has lots of Arab movies with English subtitles provided...and no ads!😀😀😀😀 Since your interest is the Gaza area, they have a documentary called "Gaza Surf Club" that might be of some help.

Thank you for the video, it's very useful! I just have a question, does "Azka" also mean "most clever"? Could you also put "Atyab" for most delicious as well? Also another question, how you would say "According to..."? Your videos are very informative, keep them up!
@LearnLevantineArabic5 жыл бұрын
Yes "azka", also pronounced "ath-ka" means more or most clever. "At-yab" means most delicious, yes!
@LearnLevantineArabic5 жыл бұрын
You can say "Ha-sab" حَسَب, or "Ha-sab ra-'ee" حسب رأي for (according to).
