*Mar7aba,:Are the numbers that are used for telling time identical to the counting numbers in the spoken Levantine dialect (for example one=waHdeh, two=tin-tein) etc, or are they slightly different? Shukran.*
@LearnLevantineArabic

The same as counting numbers, the exception being numbers one and two; they are in the feminine form for telling time.

It doesn't work well here. We're not asking 'what', we're asking what time or when. So you want do use اي ساعة، متى، ايمتى or any of their variations. There are many variations for this question word in different regions.

Ahlan, estaaza, @ about 05:15, if I want to say "It WAS 4 o'clock in the morning" do I just add the word kaan at the beginning of the sentence "Kaan is-saa3a 2arba3a al fajer" ? Shukran.

@LearnLevantineArabic
@LearnLevantineArabic 6 жыл бұрын
ivor worrell It's better to add (da-'ee-'a) or minute to make it clearer. So it becomes: sit-teh o "esh-reen da-'ee-'a.

What is the difference between تنتين and تنين?? I thought تنتين might be the feminine version but then you used تلات so that wouldn't make sense.

Why do you pernounceظ like ض؟
@LearnLevantineArabic

In spoken Levantine Arabic it is commonly pronounced like that. However, in some Levantine dialects, you will hear it pronounced as ظ.
