I LOVE that you said sex is a skill, because I've always believed that. It's wild to me how so many people dismiss others if they are "bad at sex" - girl, like if you care for the person, TEACH THEM. Communicate. How can we expect everyone to just be perfect at any skill without practice?? If you're also not super comfortable in the bedroom, it's a skill you LEARN. It's not innate as most people believe. We should all be able to learn without shame or guilt "of being bad", just like any other skill!!

yeah and i also feel like it’s so easy to pick up on sex skills, like if i show you a video of something and say i want you to try that on me it’s not hard to emulate it’s pretty easy so i would never give up on someone just because they weren’t good at sex i would teach them and allow them to teach me things too. No matter how "skilled" one may be; if love, mutual respect, and trust are not present; and/or the energy of one's self or partner is low vibrational, despite all that "so-called" skill, 🥱 I'll pass... and channel that energy into something creative/productive!😉 On the flip side, if skills set could use improvement, then communication is IMPERATIVE, bc for some, physical intimacy is actually a "language" one must learn in order to become "fluent", and effectively express/please one's self AND partner.

Sometimes it’s deeper than that. Some people are harder to teach because they are not comfortable with their body or just certain insecurities or life experiences that has shaped them. I do believe in communicating before entering into sexual experiences. Also, sex with someone you’re attracted to and there’s natural energy between you, you don’t have to teach. It’s like a dance without a routine. They just know.

As a guy this was really useful and I’ll be taking away many tips from this video, but especially effective ways of asking questions in the bedroom. Usually I’m pretty quiet while having sex unless my partner looks like they’re uncomfortable and then I’d usually ask “is this okay”. So I felt similarly before I had sex for the first time at the age of 23, and the guy didn't believe me when I said I'd never done it before. Not before and not after. I was like LOL why would someone lie about that??? The point is, it doesn't have to be such a momentous thing. Take some pressure off of yourself, and the situation. Anyone who gets to see you naked and experience this side of you is lucky, go into it knowing such. I wish I had masturbated(ever) before I had sex, so definitely do that and get to know what you like so you can have a better time. I'd get a dildo. If you want to have it be less pressure and it wouldn't bother you, it could be with someone you don't know, and you don't have to tell them. That is your information and history and you don't owe it to them. You're an adult who can take care of yourself and if having to discuss that on a deep level with someone will hold you back from experiencing it, don't. Maybe just tell them you will need to take it slowly or start with a position that gives you some control with speed and depth. Say omg you're so big I can't take it that fast LOL. Or if you want it to be with someone you have feelings for and to be in a relationship with them, tell them as soon as you start moving beyond make outs. If they're also dating for a relationship I feel like it won't be a big issue for anyone who's not like a nymphomaniac, or an asshole. And if they're scared off by it, they're not the right person for you. Try not to freak out or be too in your head about it when you tell them. It's just a fact about you, and there could be any number of combinations of reasons why.

These tips are absolutely great!! However, I wonder if this whole thing about sex being necessarily "sacred" can also hinder personal growth and integration for some people. The Shadow is also an important part of the Self, so while some people will need reassurance of "light" to get out of a place of shame that social moralism has coded into our brains, maybe for a lot of people sex can also be an opportunity to integrate light and shadow and overcome duality! There are people similar to you out there and you don't have to "catch up" to "fit in".

This will be odd. I never had sex, a new young adult. I write intimate fanfics and what I like to incorporate is real intimacy.
