“I try not to concern myself with the karma of others.” Growing up in the South especially, being in other people’s business is a cultural pastime that I don’t feel comfortable with, but try not to judge or bring the vibe down around. I love that wording.

"You are intense"- my bf said recently. My first reaction was weird, like whaaat...Then after a while I thought for myself, well, FINALLY! I am not making myself small for others anymore, I express myself more and more, share my joy of being alive, I try to make the most out of my days in a playful way...so yeah, i am intense and proud of it:) also...Hitomi, your voice is not "little", not a chance! Your videos help so many human beings «3

Ugh love the way she thinks already a minute in and I resonate with the reframe of instead of saying “I wish that could be me.” To “I’d love to try that some day.” Which is so much lighter and freeing! I’d even add “I’d like to know more about how this person did this or that.” Seeing each other as teammates rather than competitors.

I love that point you made about sensuality and things such as being aware of how the sunlight hits you/ bodily movements. I’ve been struggling with this the past few months because my walls have come down more and I’ve been worried that they are threatening to myself and others (but mainly others). Just taking that in and accepting that you will have to go through a phase of discomfort and “revolution” because this sensitivity is so intertwined with the western view of sexuality, aside from the fact that it brings all intentions into the light, has been so liberating to get past.

Hitomi, I love your videos so much!! They always give me a sense of peace, break me out of the negative cycles in my mind, and ground me in the present. I love what you said about saying "yes" to experiences more. I definitely notice that when I'm stressed and anxious, I tend to avoid meeting new people and doing new things "until I get my life sorted out," even though it would probably help me to do just that if I said yes, rather than continuing to be stuck in that negative space. To anyone reading this, we're all in it together, dealing with our own challenges, so don't be too harsh with yourself, and remember that taking up space is okay and allowed. Asking for help is allowed. You can lean on other people because people WANT to be leaned on! Much love xx

I identify so much with the example you gave of a friend giving a cup of water, I really was like that before, never letting anyone help me with anything. But I am not like that anymore and I feel so much freer, I am excited to feel even more open and free in this world. Thank you so much for this insight and little conversation about confidence

Honestly, Hitomi, wow. I think this was the most impactful thing I have ever ever heard in my life. I am on this journey of becoming more true to myself - kind, loving, unapologetic of who I am, trusting and spreading positivity everywhere I go. and I get those moments when I am with people who are completely the opposite (I am trying not to do that, but I don't control who I work with for example unfortunately), when people are so negative and complain and are rude when I think that it doesn't make sense to be different from them, because I come off as weird or extremely like pacifistic or something? I had a lot of reflections about it lately and you really spoke to me here - that it makes sense, that this is my path and I don't have to care about what other people would think of it. thank you so much. you are such an inspiration and I think watching this video is a pivotal moment for me. just thank you, again. I hope you're having the loveliest time

Days like today where i get the time to clean, cook for myself, and take care of my body help me to ground myself and throughout my routine, i always have your videos on. I learn something new every time, today I learned how i should let people do something for me when they want to and that it's not a step back from my side but rather it's about letting them take a step towards me.

lots of 💎s here! i liked the part about receiving/reciprocity and the example you used with making friends dinner and if they declined u would feel sad. i tend to say “oh no it’s okay, I can do it” as well in whatever context. So this was very eye opening, and an element to receiving that I over looked because I try to be so gracious. I will now start saying yes more when offered things (when it makes sense). Thank you for this insight!!! 🦋💓
