Chef AJ, I am loving your Sweet INDULGENCE cookbook! It is a beautiful book! I will be making this pear pie soon. 💫 The Basic Healthy Pie Crust on page 92 is so good! I used walnuts and added in hemp hearts. and, finally, I'm making my own nut milks. The Chef's Tips are great too. The one on pg. 196 is one of my favs! Side note -☺I'd love to see you make the PB Chocolate Cheesecake, pg. 149. I want to make that for Thanksgiving. Thank you for all you do and share!❤ Dee

This is the first thing I made. I took a photo of it before putting it in the oven, you can see it in my thumbnail. It took a while, and I could not wait to taste my masterpiece. Unfortunately, I somehow forgot to turn the oven off when I was supposed to leave it in there to set up. The crust got scorched, but I used the filling as a Ninja Creami base, and it was delicoilus. The next recipe was the Snickerdoodles, and those came out perfect!

I personally don't care for vanilla extract, and would rather not use it as it contains either glycerine, which is sugar or alcohol (which is basically watered down vanilla). You are certainly welcome to replace it for the powder however.

Can you tell me where you get the dates you use? Looking and they are just as expensive as the Medjool.

I get the Deglet Noor dates at Costco and they are @$2.69 per pound

That's alot of dates! Very high calorie and lots of sugar content although I know it's a whole food and better than cane sugar
