People need to understand no contact works for two reasons.. the main one is for you to work on yourself while not forcing a favorable outcome. If they come back it’s up to you at that point to either forgive them and move forward with them or you probably won’t feel anything to have to accept them back Into your life. What has helped me has been God.. have I cried? Yes. Do I feel down at times? Of course. But understand through pain comes a lot of understanding remember that… Love y’all stay strong.. in my case she has rebounded with someone else and I truly wish her the best. Truth is while we’re binge watching “No Contact” and “How to get your ex back” videos, they are more than likely moving on or have moved on already with someone new. This is what drives us men crazy. Men take breakups a lot harder then woman, especially if the female is the one to end it, why? Because most woman already have an inbox full of DM's from guys just sitting and waiting..."Oh she is single, I'm pouncing" hell they were probably already trying to get with her while she was with you, and now since she is no longer tied to "You" all she has to do is choose from her full DM inbox. For us men our hearts hurt a lot longer, all we think about is her, all we want to do is be with her, but she has already moved on to the next guy and when we learn that as men it only hurts more. "Why him, not me? Why? Why?" and it eats us up inside. Men when they find their true love they try to hold on to them, why? Because its not easy for men, its hard to get a girl to be into you, regardless of how sincere, kind, loving, successful you are, and when we find the right one we try to saver that. I've been in the "No Contact" phase for a month now and its one of the hardest things I have to do. I can't see into her life like I used to because she ghosted me and blocked me from all of social media, so it only makes my mental health worse.

@@22jp yeah so I had a situation when girl was chatting with me like really a lot for 2 months (cuz she lives in one city and I live in another one 400km away/250miles) then asked for some space or I should say I asked her if she needs it cuz she wasnt so excited anymore while chatting with me. And then after 2 weeks of this, I totally gone and didnt send anything for thennext 20 days, when I came after 20 dayd and sent her message she said that she lost feelings and only wants to be friends but in my opinion that is all a product of us living far from each cuz she didnt see me for a long time and so my question here is should I wait for her to make her regret it or forget her. I feel like it could work but the distance that can be only destroyed by being in constant contact made the difference here. She said that she is too busy with her jobs at home, also high school and she is trying to find the best college. Also she had catastrophic period at home with her mom who just left her family and she has to take care of everyone now alongside her dad. And Im sure all of this has affected her and she feels different but she had feelings for me but two months later just wanted to end it all for no real reason. Once again I have to mention that we didnt see each for about 60 days back then when she decided to stop our "relations" and Im not sure did she just miss my physical appearance that is much more interesting than typing a messages whole time. Anyways Im sorry for this huge text but to sum up, do you think that she will later come back when she sees me cuz Im repeating again we didnt have a physical contact since I think new year eve so she maybe thought that she lost feelings but its just because of me not being near her. Or do you think that she would ever just send me a sudden message where she says that she wants me back. That's all good advice. Thanks for sharing. As a general rule, it's best to let your ex go and not chase after them, no matter how much you miss them and want them back. If they come back, they come back. If they don't, they don't. You should move on with your life either way, and if your ex wants you back, make them work and beg for it for once.

@@danieljohnson9841 Yes, that makes a lot of sense. I'm sure there are things an ex could have done that would make reconciliation all but impossible. But I've always been a very forgiving and understanding sort. It's probably a weakness that bad people try to exploit, and so I have to learn to maintain stronger boundaries. But I'd rather throw my arms around someone who hurt me than turn them away, particularly if I felt God brought us both together. Then again, maybe God brought us together just to teach me these lessons about boundaries and self-respect. Hopefully, I was able to inspire my ex to change her ways and turn her life around, that she would turn to Christ for forgiveness so she wouldn't have to pay Karma instead. But it's out of my hands now. Great comments, you gave me some things to think about and I appreciate it. Thanks!

I think I’m the beginning begging and chasing is alright. Depending on how how long you were together. 100% agree when I first broke up with my ex I didn’t care about any of his feelings. In that moment, the only person‘s feelings that matter were mine, because I was the one who was hurting. I didn’t actually start to feel the pain of losing him until maybe a month after we breakup. I felt fear and pain due to the fact that it was becoming obvious to me that he did not realize what he had lost. It honestly still hurts to this day. That someone I would have giving my last dollar, would just let me walk out the door. However that’s my rejection and abandonment issues. Every day gets a little better, but the pain of losing someone that I loved it hasn’t gone away. So yeah if you’re trying to get your ex back, just wait. If you were good them maybe they will want you back. You will never know until you try.

If you dumped him, the burden to reach out is on you. Going no contact is usually done by those who were dumped, since they did not end the relationship. It always baffles me when someone dumps someone and expects the dumped to reach out. Either you wanted the relationship to end ( which if so, no reason to feel loss) or you didn't and used the breakup as a power move and manipulation tactic. If it's the latter, then perhaps he sensed that and didn't want to play that game.

A person can't care about what you had if they don't even care about what they put into the relationship. If they did care as you did, then you 2 wouldn't be each other ex. Through experience, just keep pushing forward. If you go back, you will start back at ground zero, having to pick up the pieces of your brokenness all over again. It's seemed like for myself, it was just as painful as the 1st time. I'm glad that experience is over with. I'm pretty sure both of our feelings are the exact same for once. I hope that I don't EVER have to lay eyes on him again. If I do hope I be hugged up with someone new that we both speak each other love language.

I’ve just entered a period of no contact with my ex after 6 weeks. We live together and have children. I came to the realisation on Saturday that he wasn’t feeling the effect of what he had done because we’ve been behaving as if nothing had changed and I’ve been too available to him. Now I can focus on me and my happiness. Before entering in to no contact with him I did send him a text expressing that I needed him to choose his freedom or his family… I get that might come across like I’m giving him too much power to make that decision but honestly after a decade I feel like I can move forward and he is either with me on this journey or he isn’t - and if not it’s his loss because I know I’m a good woman.

Today is one of my rare easy days. Thoughts are hit and miss but I have more control today. I literally got rid of all the reminders and keeping busy. I have noticed that caffeine makes things harder for some reason so I just drink water and work out. Hopefully this becomes more of a trend so I can become normal again.

I don’t work this way. When I love someone, that love is a lasting force. It’s not conditional on the role or type of relationship we have. Seasons of life change as do the different roles we can serve in each others lives. Friend > lover > partner > friend , etc. But the love, the concern and care for their happiness as they define it never dissipates. It is deeply unnatural to me to move from a place of profound connectedness and emotional intimacy into cold nothingness. Seems more like a game played to affirm ego and quell pain. My heart simply does not function that way

I hate that I was the one to walk away but at the time, what he did didn't align with how I lived my life and I didn't want to be with someone who could make such a terrible life choice. I didn't allow his sentiments during the loss of my father to win me back either, after a year of us being apart. But now, a year and a half after breaking up, we're communicating and trying to mend what was broken. It truly can't happen before it's time, and no amount of coercion will speed up the process. No contact is for when you want to be done. The longer you start out of contact w someone the further apart you get so taking some time away for space is one thing but prolonged no contact (like I'm in now) is due when you want it to be over. Period
