That was awesome. I thought about the towel in the door jam before you did it. Great minds think alike, fools seldom differ. 😂✌️👉

A good video. It showed the steps. One thing I think you should have done is explain the purpose of the cardboard near the windshield. Everything else was clear. Other than that, thumbs up. :)

Appreciate the feedback! That is to hold the forward edge of the dash cover down flush while the adhesive cures.

The directions deal with this problem. You want teddy bear fill, which will fill the recess and support the installation.

I thought about this last night and my reply changes. All you need to do is support the overlay we are adding. Ok, you have HUGE holes in your dash. Do not be concerned. It doesn't matter if you use 2x4 blocks, or Lego blocks, once you improvise a base, and smear the whole shebang with RTV/Dashskin provided adhesive, the overlay will hold her all together and you are good to go. Brother, trust me, this was magic to my ride, the dash looks brandy new.

Why does no one make a straight replacement? There's zero manufacturers making reproduction dash pad for these years. Earlier, later years, no problem. For some reason the 90s trucks are non-existent.

A replacement dash that looks OEM would have to be injection molded, and injection mold toolings are unbelievably expensive to produce. A tooling the size of a dash could easily cost upwards of 750K-1M if made in the USA, which creates an immense amount of risk. Even if ROI was guaranteed by number of sales, very often toolings have to be corrected and reworked, which drives up cost even more. Finally, if you produce a replacement dash, you run the risk of being sued for patent infrigement by OEMs. TL;DR: Insanely high cost and risk.
