Ken Burns is an awesome documentarian. His doc on The Dust Bowl is very educational, sentimental, a must-see.

I love these extended interviews. As an American who has lived in Europe for 11 years, I was not educated accurately on how little the USA contributed to the war efforts until Pearl Harbor was bombed. What is so sad is if the US had joined the Allies sooner many lives would have been saved. Churchill begged, literally begged the US to help and we did not rise to the occasion in this instance.

Love Ken Burns and all his films. This one will be hard to watch. I cry everytime I see anything on the Holocaust.

Please edit so it’s one continuous story - Not chopped up to have bits and pieces here and there.

When Americans go around and shout "without us you'd be speaking German" we should remember these stories too.

Our great country failed miserably which will forever be unforgettable and unforgivable. Even today we struggle with our immigration policies, continued antisemitism and protectionism. Haven’t we learned anything?

There is always The cosmic Zen....koan...... insight that states........ that the victim and the victimizer meet,...in all time periods and all points in different ways.......and the only solution which is above any humanitarian rationale....is simple Untangle Untangle it takes two to tango.......and two dancers caught closely together in a tango......if one falls...the other likely falls as well Untangle The victim and the victimizer are tangled for a reason.. Christ said it best. Give unto Caesar the things that are Caesars. Give unto God.......the things that belonging to God . God desires the salvation of the soul. Victims and victimizers....entangle souls onto a lower human dimension....they do not free the soul to Divine Light and Understanding. Untangle from the mistakes made in History..

Please stop breaking up your stories. It’s very disjointed and hard to watch. Please go back to the way it was when you did one whole story at a time and then moved on to the next one.

Used to have a lot of respect for Ken Burns. I’m sure he is all for critical race theory. It’s easy to look backwards with 20/20 vision. What happened to the Jews is beyond belief, but to out right say we could have, should have done more. Really? So I’m suppose to say “hey great grandpa, wtf were you thinking?” What about Stalins Russia? Maos China? Rwanda? Bangladesh? Ethiopia? Somali...The list goes on. Its just a successful rich dude laying a guilt trip because he knows better than us, lmfao. Counting his $$$ all the way to the bank...

I never lost respect for Ken Burns, in fact my respect for him just keeps growing. And yes, his documentary on The Civil War did cover the enslavement of human beings, since it IS part of the history of America. He earns every penny for all the good work that he does.

Yes. If your grandfather was alive during WWII and is still alive today, you can ask him if he knew about the Holocaust as it was happening and how he felt about letting refugees into the country. You don't have to present the question in an accusatory manner. Learn from the past from the people who actually lived it.

This is so sad the fact that politicians claim that it did not happen which I this is just stupid. These stupid politicians want to erase this from history books. So stupid. It happened and my family was part of this hate.
