I love that advice at 7:42 to lock your rendering camera! I would always activate another view and then started rendering it by accident :)

Thanks Great tutorials ;) I have a problem that when Arnold finishes rendering the render image gets desaturated and darker as if some filter is being applied in post.

In which format do we need to save our sketchup file so that it can be opened in 3ds max?
@AFTutorials
@AFTutorials 6 ай бұрын
simply save it as a regular "skp" file. Maybe it only works if you save it not as the latest version. I am still using "2017 make"

Hey, i have tried to use a sketchup file in Max, but when i import it everything is like one object. Do you know how can i ungroup it to use the different objects? Thank you in advance :))
@AFTutorials
@AFTutorials 2 жыл бұрын
That is normal. Import it in steps, use components in Sketchup or as I sometimes do: use different colors in Sketchup that turns into different Material-IDs in Max and you can easily adress them in polygon sublevel of the mesh. Max loves large geometries instead of lots of objects.

Frustrating ! all my point lights are showing up as big sharp edged light spheres in reflective surfaces, in the renders. can anyone please help me ? when i turn down the exposure they show as dull grey spheres. why is the light spread showing up like this in renders ?

How to adjust shadow direction like sun?
@AFTutorials

I do not understand the question. The position of the light defines the direction of the shadow.
