I can highly recommend and would also be interested in your opinion on the scarpa ribelle run. I love them, best alpine Trailrunners with the most natural fit and best climbing / alpine sole i ever had. I do all my big alpine objektives in them and the feel and control you have on rock and alpine terrain is amazing. Gonna get my third soon(the calibra version) and would recommend the XT-Version which has some more support and cushing und will probably last longer.

Nothin beats the Lasportiva Mutants. Just completed the WURL with em and they did not disappoint as you said

I watched your video the day you posted it. Nice work! It would be a cool local collab for you and Danny to get together and tackle an objective.

Dynafit always gets me with their awesome design but for me all of their products from backpack, vests and shoes have flaws or quality issues and there are better options out there. Thank you for the review!

I absolutely agree. I have the Transalper, which has the same lacing system as the Alpine Pro 2 and after only a few month the cord from the quick lacing system had cut through the first lace loop. Really annoying and really hard to fix. Shoes is otherwise still in perfect condition. I don't know why they went with this thin and "sharp" quick lace cord and the lace loop made from fabric... real design flaw!

They make good pants and jackets. Will stick to Salomon for backpacks.

@deathjester6406 other than the laces, how does the transalpers perform on rocky and muddy terrain? How is the fit?

I like my clown shoes but I haven’t tried a lot of the other popular options yet

Really liked my 1st gen Dynafit Alpines...until both pair fell apart at 100 miles. Hope the new ones last longer. I usually get well over 350 miles out of the Salomon Speedcross and Hoka Speedgoat.

Can you review shoes for scrambling/fast hiking? I've enjoyed ultra raptor 2's for this but would be interested in what else is out there

I just realized something, why the heck do you have so many ice axes? I counted 6, not sure why someone would ever need more than 4
@PNWAscents3 ай бұрын
Two ultralight axes for technical ski tours (petzl gully’s) Two for mixed mountaineering where vertical walls are involved like some routes on Mt. Hood. One for longer expedition style climbing and a few more because they look really really cool

I don’t understand how your lugs don’t wear down in the Wasatch. I’ve used 5 different companies’ shoes and they all are flat by mile 200 or less. Maybe it’s me 🙃

It’s just you or you are mostly scrambling. If you are actually running the midsole will probably loose its original characteristics first

@@zacharygarner9425 Mostly trail running on the foothills which tend to be kind of rocky, but nothing sharp or consistent. I’ve been mostly running in Bushidos, which I love, but their lugs durability might just be weak.
