I purchased some Hoka Speedgoat 6, Salomon s/lab genesis, and the Dynafit Ultra 100s last month. I'm actually liking the dynafits more! You do have to size up a FULL size.
@johnbailey198612 күн бұрын
Can you ski these with Shift bindings? Nervous to ski with pin bindings as quite like a wee crash on the downhills. But a lighter boot than the Hoji on the ups would be nice.

Weight of a children’s foot size. No way you wear a 26.5.
@ZRG_3D24 күн бұрын
26.5 is essentially the market standard for reporting ski boot weight and last, also this size fits many with a US men’s 8.5-9 foot
@Sn4k3f1st11 күн бұрын
I have wide feet with high instep, which forces me to buy Salomon hiking shoes in EU 43 1/3 (US men size 9.5). I just bought some Radical Pros, tested them in the shop with the boot fitter and went home with a.... 265!! Which is an EU 41,5, almost two sizes less than the Salomon shoes. This boils down to the last being very accomodating for "hobbit-feeted" like me. I tried some Maestrales RS but there was no comparison in fit, even less when trying to transition (I'm sold on the Hoji lock, it's pure innovation).

That tall I feel like the 180 would be the choice. Anything shorter might feel too small. I’m 178cm and would not ski it shorter than 180cm.

i know im extremely late to the party, but i just got mine and i cant for the life of me figure out how to arm it. if i use the screw tool to make the trigger indicator go back, the only way i can get it out is by unscrewing it which brings the trigger indicator forward again? how am i meant to arm it?
@jongunjongunАй бұрын
Manual is pretty accurate. You have to screw tool all the way to the bottom (but ofc not so hard that something brakes), then unscrew tool. After that bag is armed and you can confirm that by pulling trigger - without cartridges so that baloon doesn't inflate. There would be quite loud bang once you pull trigger.

I don't see it as limiting in any way for trees. If you're unsure about length maybe go for the shorter option if you're prioritizing maneuverability.

I can highly recommend and would also be interested in your opinion on the scarpa ribelle run. I love them, best alpine Trailrunners with the most natural fit and best climbing / alpine sole i ever had. I do all my big alpine objektives in them and the feel and control you have on rock and alpine terrain is amazing. Gonna get my third soon(the calibra version) and would recommend the XT-Version which has some more support and cushing und will probably last longer.

I absolutely agree. I have the Transalper, which has the same lacing system as the Alpine Pro 2 and after only a few month the cord from the quick lacing system had cut through the first lace loop. Really annoying and really hard to fix. Shoes is otherwise still in perfect condition. I don't know why they went with this thin and "sharp" quick lace cord and the lace loop made from fabric... real design flaw!

Two ultralight axes for technical ski tours (petzl gully’s) Two for mixed mountaineering where vertical walls are involved like some routes on Mt. Hood. One for longer expedition style climbing and a few more because they look really really cool
