Thank you all for tuning into this episode! This renovation meant so much to us and we are so grateful to George, Josh, and the amazing team of vendors who transformed our school.

What a deserving group. Those kids didn't need any prompting to talk about how special that place is to them already.

I'm a New Yorker at heart born and raised. So it's wonderful to see people coming together and just enjoying music. Music is what breaks the barriers that keep us separated. Congratulations Bloomingdale.

Did you have any input into the renovations? I am really disappointed in their choices, particularly for their acoustics. I have performed in that hall, and it was good before, now it sounds dead. And the outdoors needs a roofing. But I'm thrilled for the school to gain this exposure. I don't think I knew the house had belonged to Fanny Brice!

They'd better bring back the cover for the barbecue. That was protecting it from the weather. The bars over the windows are actually beautiful on the front of the building. Bet those were made custom. The redo overall is very nice.

They also need a roofing to have any outdoor events to protect the neighbors from the noise. Outdoor concerts, indeed.

@@nonenoneonenonenone Exactly. The times they could perform would be quite limited and determined largely by weather.

Cool. Nice they added some art. The outside wall. I guess inside art would have maybe been a distraction for the players. Just bothers me a bit, being an artist. The outside art will fade away faster than if inside. Be good if it got it's yearly shield cover painting to it. To protect it.

Wonderful. I'm sure there are many community organizations across America that could have benefited from sharing the $50M that was given to the Kennedy Center. Imagine what that kind of money could have done to support the arts and community youth across this country.

+yangchen dolker This is obviously an older episode that was just recently uploaded. The city this renovation took place in, New York City, (NYC) is America's epicenter for Covid19. Meaning the hardest hit. They have had, and continue to have *the highest rate* of confirmed cases (104,000 +/-) and deaths (7,000 +/-) of all the states in the USA with recovered cases of approximately 17,000. Schools throughout the state closed in mid to late March because of the high rate of the disease and will mot reopen for the rest if the school year. Pretty much the same policy all over America. Businesses there, as in all the states are suffering badly due to not only social distancing policies but also financial difficulties because people do not have money to spend as there is no income if there are no jobs. 60% of the total US workforce is currently out of work. Hospitals in NYC (the area this episode took place) are overloaded to point where makeshift hospital tents are set up in the city's largest park. Hockey arenas and refrigerated trucks serve as temporary morgues for the bodies because standard mortuaries in NYC are overloaded. Funerals are streamed because of social distancing policies. It is bad all over America but especially bad in NYC where George To The Rescue did this renovation. I believe the show chose this particular time to air this episode because of the sadness of how hard NYC is suffering from Coronavirus (Covid 19) with today being Easter. Easter is a religious holiday in the USA celebrating the triumphant Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the tomb on the 3rd day (Sunday) after his Crucifixion on the Cross on Good Friday. Even for those who do not hold such religious beliefs, it is a day of much joyful celebrations of traditional fun of decorated baskets of candies and goodies (secretly left by the Easter Bunny), family and friends get together for meals, outdoor games, music, etc. Obviously that cannot happen in a physical sense at this time so featuring this episide of GTTR was all the more uplifting today.

They did a terrible job on the concert hall, completely ruined the acoustics, no charm or esthetic taste. They made it dead, okay for plays and amplification, terrible for classical music. Tacky flooring, won't last. Bad decisions, cheap. Instead of curtains, they should have used wooden dividers, and the ceiling should be in the same style as the original walls.
