I keep forgetting he is in a wheelchair. He definitely does not let his wheelchair define him! His personality is so upbeat and he just exudes confidence in who he is and not a sprinkle of self pity. Amazing

Sometimes its the simple things that matter most. I couldn't even imagine being bound by a wheelchair trying to navigate through my home, its not handicap accessible at all. Although we managed with my mom for about a year before she passed away, and my grandmother for a couple years before she passed away, but it was extremely difficult rooms weren't accessible due to the design you couldn't turn a wheelchair to get into a couple of rooms, bathrooms aren't handicap usable either no walk in shower you gotta step over the tub, or over a shower surround in either bathroom. That new kitchen with the shelves that can lower is awesome, I have never seen that before, excellent use of new features. Nothing in that house is extravagant, and it don't have to be, what it has to be is accessible... Their house isn't just a house anymore, its their home, awesome job George as always.

this is such an amazing transformation. Love seeing the big design changes obviously, but also the smaller things like the lowered bench in the kitchen, and ability to pull down the shelves from the overhead cupboards, being able to close the bathroom door - those are my favourite parts because I know that will just make life so much easier for their family

Susan Anderson Time. They are on a tight schedule. They already help so many people. It is usually all builder grade stuff. Low end. Usually the stuff is already used up. Give them a break and understand. If you’re gonna do the extra work required (and the extra time) in your own home renovation, go for it. It’s a flexible world. as the person above said, they likely don’t have the budget to take everything out in working condition unfortunately. since everything in the series is donated/volunteered (from labor to supplies) they likely only have a certain amount of time and resources they can expend while renovating. they usually do donate whatever they can to habitat or salvation army though!
