Top of the range . Just made the mod to a 55/42 with the same rings. Quick question . Any tips on how you would take a slight buckle out of the same zipp disc in the video ?

Hi! I have the same set up, it's normal that rotor chainring is much more noisy on highest gear and chainline is never smooth on 56x11. Tnx for yout answer

Hello, I was told that it's a good idea to mount the 1x chainring to the backside of the Crankset. Where the smaller chainring would normally go. Is this a good idea and why? Thanks.

Hello there and thank you for sharing this video. I've recently baught a miche crono 56 tooth sprocket. I was told it would work with two or even three front sprockets. But now i'm told that there does not excist one single front shifter that can actually work with such a big sprocket. Do you know if this is true? Greetings from Morten
@Bikespeeds2 жыл бұрын
the shifter will work on any size as its only moving the chain across, the key is the difference in the smaller ratios, in general the smaller ring next to a 56t on a 2x would have to be a minimum of 44t for the derailleur to shift it with no problems. if your bike was originally running the typical set up of 53/39 the 39 would have to be enlarged at the same time to 56/44. some chain stays & bottom bracket combinations can't take the larger small ring without rubbing, this is often the biggest concern rather than the shifter.

hello. i noticed the bolt covers. do they come with the rotor chain ring. thanks!

surprised you didnt need to add any chain lengths i want to change my giant sedona front chain ring from 28/38/48 to 28/38/52+.... to give me more top speed (back is a 14/28 freewheel)
@SonnyDarvishzadeh2 жыл бұрын
4:53 on "there's just a little adjuster", will you be able to showcase that on a new video? my front derailleur kind of acts weird when I use the smaller chainring. it's as if it tilts sideway/downwards and I wonder if I need to the adjustment you've mentioned here
@dan_lazaro2 жыл бұрын
The little adjuster he talks about only comes with the 2013ish above groupsets, so the 11 speed kind. They are small allen bolts that you can adjust until it touches the frame and it helps with keeping the front derailleur from flexing when shifting. I think it is also available on the 4700 tiagra. Basically you just adjust that small allen bolt you'll see tucked away in the derailleur until it touches the frame or braze on adapter. It isn't available on clamp on unfortunately.

Would this make it faster I have a 2022 hardtail with a small front and I don't think it's as fast as I would like it to be.
@Bikespeeds Жыл бұрын
That very much depends on the majority of the terrain you ride on and the power in your legs. You’d really need to drill down your riding before making these kind of changes. You could end up slower.
