Friends, can confirm there are lights on the beside tables. They are the round white things. Lindsay had them already. You can charge them and they give off a lovely glow at night. Please stop commenting about how there’s no lights because there is 😅

I’m sooo confused now, do you not have/use Mascarpone in Canada for cakes, creams? :))) it’s pretty common in Europe, as it is from Italy of course, but my friends from the USA also use it . Anyway, you were so cute struggling to say the word.

@videovedo363 жыл бұрын
It's really a pity that she didn't do the same on the bottom, this way the 'unfinished' design gives away that the faux stucco frames are not, in fact, original. The nightstands floating over the bottom edge wouldn't be a problem to the eye, in my opinion, as much as the uneven design is.
@juliebodin69483 жыл бұрын
Oh god yes. If the bottom of the moulding matched the top, it would have looked so much better. My eyes would be drawn to this every single time I walked into the room

I absolutely loved the creamy white on the walls with the pops of color in the decor. Personally, I wish that the moulding would’ve had bottom pieces, whether it matched the top or was just a straight piece, because having it go into the baseboard feels unfinished. But overall, I think it’s a beautiful room! 😍
@talleysuehohlfeld395911 ай бұрын
having had that molding in my pre-war apartment building in NYC, I can tell you that the bottom of molding like that is always a mirror image of the top; it doesn’t just go into the molding.

I feel like the room needs a reading nook... I think it would make so much sense!! But it does look good
@alittlebitofjessica3 жыл бұрын
Yes! That little nook by the window was made for a reading chair or built-in bench (with space underneath for books), especially since there is a tree right outside the window AND the client likes to read. Sigh, missed opportunities. Maybe next time!
@jemma503 жыл бұрын
@@alittlebitofjessica it doesn't look to me like there is enough space for a reading nook there. Maybe a very narrow bench under the window, but a chair would not fit unless they eliminated the night table. It's a great idea, the room just isn't big enough. Although.....a little chair and a wall sconce beside the dresser might work if the dresser were moved a bit to the left and without the plant there. :D
@alittlebitofjessica3 жыл бұрын
@@jemma50 Yeah, it's kind of late now that the client is stuck with this layout for the rest of her life unless she removes the nightstands. But a chair/bench WOULD'VE fit if they had used different tables. I've noticed in a lot of AG's videos that the sponsors take precedence over the clients' needs :(

I love this makeover! It is so perfect for a relaxing, calming bedroom. I love the book brackets from Umbra. I am going to order a set for myself and a friend, - our nightstands are so crowded with stacks of books. I love seeing what I'm going to read next. Iam, also going to try the moulding effect in an apt that we rent out. Our tenants are usually doctors doing their residency, or grad/ phd students. They don't like to invest alot of money or time furnishing their apt; so, we try to put some extra conveniences, style, and furniture in their apts. All of our tenants usually tell us that they appreciated the effort. Your makeovers have been giving us great ideas, and diy projects to help the budget. Thank- you!!

yep. I ALWAYS cringe when I see someone putting a plant on a book, as someone who actually keeps plants and reads books.
@bluefox998873 жыл бұрын
I think the plant is fake, so it wouldn't damage the books. I love these type of shelves aesthetically, but, if you actually have "alot" of books, as Alexandra claimed her client did, there's just not enough storage here. There was totally enough room on that wall for a shallow bookcase or proper shelves.

I think what I like about it is how it looks like AG style, almost like the Tree House living room, except the Tree House living room has that brick wall on one of its side which brings warmth and character. @victorialove91042 жыл бұрын
My nightstands have 3 drawers. My husband drilled a hole in the bottom drawer and we put the CPAP machine in the bottom drawer and put the electrical cord through the hole. The hose and everything fits in the drawer and is thus concealed during the day. At night we just open the drawer so air can circulate. We both have one so we have the same set up on each side of the bed. This is working well for us.

The room looks so beautiful!!! I love the soft calming feel. Although, the only obnoxious thing I have to say, is that the molding, which came out amazing btw, I think traditionally in all Parisian rooms I have seen, don’t end in the baseboards like that. They typically stop a little before the baseboard and return to make a full rectangle. That would have given it a traditional Paris Apt feel. This installation feels a little more Art Deco (maybe?). Beautiful none the less. Well done!!
