you CAN build serious power on an extreme budget,you've proven it. you are in supercar territory with a budget of 2 grand that people spend on one or 2 parts of a car totaling $100,000 after all is said and done. my friend has a 1987 stang gt and while it is beautiful and extremely well built,he has receipts for over $50,000 who has more fun?the guy terrified of breaking something or the guy laughing and thrashing his car on a beer budget.

I decided to do the Extream Cheapskates route with my truck. Almost everything came off eBay and what didn't came from the Flea Market. I'm running a 454 BBC with a LOT of Chinese parts and a pair of GT-45 (eBay China) turbos running 10 pounds. My one and only trip to the track the truck ran 10...............................feet. Broke the drive shaft.......LOL That's ok, I need to drop some money into my tranny. Keep up the good work Cheers

maybe it's the lack of return of fuel to the tank..had this happen on my g body swap ...then I ran used ws6 fuel lines from front to back and everything works perfectly...if u used any of the g body fuel lines from any part of the system ...there restrictive for both fed and return

PLEASE READ. You might be getting a slight oil film on the maf under boost causing issue. Then under vacuum it pulls the oil off the maf. Just a thought. Saw it before with an over oiled k&n doing that to a maf.

You should put a saxophone end on that turbo to force more air into it. Lol.Try and find some 3.73's or 4.11.s. This may sound funny, but when we used to wax my dads cessna airplane, we would get about 3 mph quicker @ 140 mph mark.

are you running a water/methanol injection system? If so, did you assemble your own kit or buy one? That hose and elbow just before your TB look similar to what I used to connect a spray nozzle in my intake on my supercharged Camaro. I ordered all the parts and built my own. It was just a simple boost activated system. I think it ended up being a little over 100 bucks.

I would think on a 5.3 with stock compression I would set the Meth to come in right around 12 psi and then regulate the flow of Meth till full boost

Chad Nee you could have it come on earlier, it’s all in the tune, you have to pull a bunch of fuel in the tune when the meth comes on.

What transmission are u running? Didnt see anything about that in the budget, to run 9s im sure the trans alone would be over $2,000. My th400 rebuilt was over $900 including buying the transmission and that was with a discount lol. Great build, awsome car.

Hi , Try Moving Your " Oxygen Exhaust Sensor " to the headers Collector Before The Turbo …… That Blast of Air when it comes on boost,, The " O2 Sensor(s) Cools off ,, Then the computer Thinks it is tooo Lean On The Air fuel mixture . best To run Dual O2 Sensors ( For the Right and left Side of the engine ) ……

what did you set your pinion angle at? i did the same with my stock upper control arms and set it - 3 but still squats on launch pointing it up +3. i notice when ur on the converter it raises the front end. mines total opposite, wjen against stall the car squats trying to unload the rear

Thehouseofboost 78elco, 8.8 (95cobra), homemade adjustable lowers (heim joints and 1"dom tubing), uppers are set up exactly like yours ,10"long give or take 1/2",- 3 pinion angle, regulation size leather football in pass. spring, no sway bar. the $ 12 reg. size ftball fits the spring perfect and has lasted 6months launching it at 3300rpm on a daily basis.$6 ball sucks in comparison

Unfortunately the mustang rears are different then the crown vic, that's the whole reason I went with it instead of the mustang, if you watch my last video I explain the upper mounting points, you'll have to relocate the upper mounting points on your mustang diff higher to get the geometry back in check.

Congrats on 10's first time out, that is the shit. I decided to do a cheapskate build with a G Body despite everyone telling me I'd never get it to hook(8.8), and went 11.30(spinning) first time out on 9psi(gt45) with a 1.64 60ft. @12:08 starter looks like hes just look'n for a reason to boot ya! Forget about cage and safety equipment running 10's, if that mf'r drops one spot of fluid on the track yer done, hahaha!

7665 or 7875? Power seems low for boost. What is torque delivered in hptuners at 16 lbs? Power makes sense for et and mph though assuming it weighs 3700 with you in it

It's a 78/75, once I know what it weighs I'll have a better idea of actual power, it would have to be pretty light to go 126 on 530rwhp

Chip Currey My 81 Malibu crew cab with full interior, turbo 5.3, 4l80e, 8.8 weighs right at 3600 without me in it and 3/4 tank of fuel. Is there a converter in this car? mine has the stock 80e boat anchor converter and it's a total turd out of the hole.

Well lets look at what happens when you build boost ...When you build boost you increase what ? You increase Manifold pressure correct ? OK so what sensor picks that increase up ? I would also say heat but you have that Big ass inter cooler up front so I'm not so sure it's Air intake heat ...I'm gonna say intake manifold pressure ..

they will also send your head into the roof when you "accidentally" sit on them. 2 or 3 pieces of steel banding/strapping from any shipping department OR from a skid and that headliner will never fall down and the cost is FREE.
