I’m going to be honest here - when I first saw the house unrenovated, I was very confused how you could make it look modern. With each renovation you do, it becomes more and more one of the most beautiful homes I’ve ever seen, genuinely. I am enjoying this series more than anything offered (KZbin, TV, streaming services, etc.) for viewing/entertainment at the moment. With each room, I feel a burst of serotonin and inspiration that I didn’t know could exist from a living space (and it’s not even mine!!). This is truly amazing.

I totally agree with you on the change of pink... the original color is more of a "bubble gum" pink that you'd use in a kids room... the new shade is more of a "dusty" color... to me it looks more sophisticated and transforms the room from "a little kid's fairy tale dream tea party" to "sophisticated yet fun tea time dining room"

Hi Mia I have to say that your home is absolutely beautiful. I enjoy the very whimsical feel you have going on. The back splash in your kitchen studio as well as your basement kitchen is so fabulous. We renovated our front bathroom as it was 51 years old and the galvanized pipes needed to be replaced. It looks beautiful but we hired it out. Boy that was really expensive…. I think I would have tried to do all the tile after seeing this video. You are all such a joy to watch and love all the laughter, joy and love you have when you are a;; together. It's a beautiful dining room, and i'm always amazed by the tons of effort that you and your family spend doing this renovations. Really nice to see how everyone is always so happily involved. I do have some questions: 1. Will you still live there after the wedding or it will be another 'studio house'? 2. I love how this room turned out! I did the very same thing to my walls years ago and painted it black. However, becoming a grandparent, I realized that they needed comfort in colors. My daughter has me hooked on rose gold, so painting my bath with rose gold glitter paint and glamming it up for this 45 y/o! I'm so excited!

When my husband cut our blinds like that he took them off the rod then he rolled them up and taped them with painters tape so they were even and stayed in place, then cut them evenly from each side with a table saw. It’s so fast and makes them very even.

It's giving me english cottage with how light and airy it is. Beautiful color choices and a mix of modern and vintage makes this look so beautiful! I love that light, it's so substantial without taking up too much of the space. Your dad did a great job with the beam, it's simply gorgeous! Someone has maybe already commented this but sometimes if a finish of wood is too dark or warm toned you can do a paint wash over it so mixing white paint with water to make a light wash coat over it but it can make the wood appear brighter 💓 love your videos mia!!

It all came together so beautifully. Honestly, I was a bit skeptical of the pink wall at first and I think the slight change in tone was extremely beneficial. Don’t forget to share what becomes of that other table! Also, Mia…. After all that with both the curtains and the blinds, you didn’t highlight them in the final reveal??? I need a straight on view!

We have always use baseboard to to cut off between the wallpaper and painted wall and also for those of you that are using just a border in a kids bedroom, try taking some baseboard especially the ones that taper off and put it on the edges of the border in the middle of the room and it will give it a greater presence and it’ll stop a little fingers from trying to peel it off. It will take a basic kids bedroom to looking like it was professionally done.
