Hey Cambriea - Just a tip (coming from a hot climate in Australia) I can tell you from experience that getting your windows tinted with professional UV filtered glazing will make a huge difference to your home temperatures! We have reduced the glare and heat heaps since getting it done for our home - it is relatively inexpensive and will make your A/C more efficient. Make sure you get your A/C serviced annually too.

Maybe adding window tint to the bay window will cut down on the heat in the sunroom. Looks beautiful and the dogs looks like they love it.🤩

It all looks WONDERFUL! I’m in Florida also and the best help to keep sunroom cool is to get blinds/shades on the window so you can block the light during the time of day the sun beats in. It will also bleach and crack the leather furniture with the sun beating on it. Even just tilting horizontal blinds works well while still letting in some light.

This is absolutely phenomenal. I LOVE the green color. It brings a lot of warmth and such a serene feeling to the space. The rug, the curtains, fireplace, just everything looks amazing. What a difference! HONESTLY never even noticed that window all this time there behind the couch. It was just kinda hidden/blended but now it definitely stands out with the couch in front of it and a hint of decor. Good job!

The sun will fade and crack your furniture. There is a film you can apply to the windows that will block the sun. We had it professionally done but Bobby could probably do it. It is so worth the money. And the room will be much cooler. Best money we spent on our sunroom. The room looks great! 🌺

If bricks are red on the outside you could sponge on some whitewash on various bricks. It might have a similar affect

That olive green is gorgeous and is one of my favourite wall colours right now. You have plenty of light in the room so it won’t make it dark, especially with the light colour on the bottom of the wall. I’m really glad to see the end of that turquoise. It was very harsh. I love that room. That is the perfect reading area, so cozy. I love that there is not going to be a TV in there and it is a quiet relaxing space. I personally loved how Drake inspected the curtains to make sure they were up to him and Bailey’s standards.

The sun room looks fabulous! Help my ocd… put toilet paper tubes in the curtain folds to make them look even. To help the heat… apply the mirrored 1way daytime privacy film. It’ll reflect the us light and heat!

It looks great! I would use curtains or something on the bay window. The sun coming in will fade your couch quickly and cause it to dry out and crack.

I am so glad you did this redo. Ive had a breezeway that was the dog room too, and it never was used and decorated right. It also had a window from the kitchen. This will be so helpful at every holiday. You now have more space to entertain, open presents, have birthdays, etc. It gives the kids a place to sit with friends when they are older to study or talk and leave room for others in the family room. Im thinking you should get a sign for Bobby in the room that says "The Wolf Den" or something that acknowledges it for him. I hope the new door is a solid windowless door. It'll balance the room better too.

I would build a custom made shelve in white around the AC covering a good amount of that wall to hide it. The green walls match very well with the brown of the sofas! Congrats on the finished room makeover!🎉

Looks great!! One suggestion relates to the outside brick that we can see next to the indoor brick . . . the colors there are less red (I actually really like all the different brown/beige earthy colors), so consider bringing some of those colors in the indoor brick wall so that it doesn't clash.

I absolutely love the green, it’s so pretty and combined with the furniture, is one of the loveliest rooms I’ve seen. As for the outside, those bricks are so beautiful in their gentle variations themselves, that if you use the schmeer technique outside as well, it might look a bit garish. It may also lose its impact inside. It’s just my opinion, which I try not to offer very often! It is your house to do with as you wish. 🙂🙂

Please do tell what you used on your faux wall application! I love that look, I just wasn't aware it could be used as an outdoor, all weather treatment. What a great idea. I am only familiar with using joint compound for that look- so am really interested to know what you used. I do love that green color. That ceiling fan is the perfect finishing touch to the room ;) Another question for you- pool towels? I have never had an outdoor, inground pool... but I do have specific towels used for the hot tub. A great tip to get the wrinkles out of the curtains is to wet a nice thick wash cloth, wring it out good and throw it in the clothes dryer with your curtains for a few minutes. Doesnt take 5-8 minutes maybe. It really does a great job 🙂

@@huitrecouture almost all new curtains have the fold lines from the packaging. Ive found that a quick toss in the clothes dryer with a damp cloth before hanging them up takes those wrinkles right out. And yes, the curtains had the fold lines.

I'm so happy u guys are ok from Hurricane Ian . We're down in Broward county and are ok as well however my sister and Nephew lost there roof and had damage but there in Fort Myers and we're hit as a Category4 ....I do Pray for everyone effected and wanted to tell u guys how I look forward to every weeks new posts from u and Bobby. That olive/sage green although just a little dark is a great contrast to the brightest in your sun room so it’s a smart design trick! I’m actually going to paint my master bedroom a light sage because of the opposite problem…it’s actually a very dark room. Great family room for relaxing or overflow of guests for more elbow room. And I definitely remember the “wolf” guest bathroom…great that you brought it along & were able to utilize it your current home, it will be a fun topic of conversation!
