Nice plane and flight! Thanks for sharing, really love that plane!!!!

Thank you. Graphics are awesome and the plane is pretty darn good too.

@@RCVideoReviews I actually just purchased a 78" version of the same plane! I can't wait to put it together and fly it!
@RCVideoReviewsАй бұрын
I have the older red/white scheme in 78". It's actually in the video. It flies even better. It tumbles violently. Use a 40cc motor if you really want to unleash it.

Very good looking airplane, and even with the wind it flies like a dream. Dave did a nice job as usual. Would be interesting to have your insights comparing plane sizes 48 vs 60 vs 67 vs ... (since you have different sizes of the same model 😁) 1:05 I am afraid we will need a video on this converter as well. Did you try escape32 esc’s ? They output crsf telemetry directly without the need of a converter.

kzbin.infoslmTO8bRdBE I haven't tried the escape32 esc's yet, but I am aware of them. Will be looking into those soon. If it's any indicator: I've sold or traded all of my 60's for 67's. 48's are fun, but I think 67's are the perfect balance of size, visibility, wind handling, and performance. They are the largest single battery airframe and that makes them convenient (charging just one pack instead of 2 or 3 for each flight).

Nice Edge! Love the scheme. It seems odd that the top of the front former doesn’t support the cowl (there looks like a good size gap).

540, 260, Laser…ahhh I can’t decide which one to get! I do like the look of your 540 and it seems to fly pretty well and with low rates it even landed cleanly when it was tail heavy.
@RCVideoReviewsАй бұрын
My all time favorite is the Laser. I thought the Edge540 might have a chance at de-throning the Laser, but it didn't. Still excellent, but for me it's the Laser.

Thanks for the video John, and thanks to Dave and Fred also! Out of curiosity, what was your reason for not putting a gyro in this one? You feel the 67 size class doesn't need it? I'm just setting up a pilot rc 67 laser with the am670 combo and er6, and possibly an a3 super 4...

I've used gyros in the past on these planes more out of curiosity than need, but I usually don't put gyros in these planes.

@RCVideoReviews thanks John, Ahhh fair enough, it would simplify my install in the laser! Thanks for the speedy reply!

I've seen 'name branded' gyros limit travel & movement, even when off. The day I discovered this was a maiden & attempted hover of an eflite extra 300. Swapped to a non-gyro rx & it would hover with ease. Didn't change anything else. Not even the battery/placement.

Thanks for all the great videos. I'm torn between getting the edge 540 or the extra 260. I'm new to flying 3D but learning fast. I like the slow and low flying and aggressive maneuvering. What's your opinion on my best choice? Thanks in advance!
@RCVideoReviews5 күн бұрын
Edge540. It has a straight leading edge which makes certain maneuvers a little easier and I just prefer the way the 540 lands over the 260.

how does this compare to the 67" extra 260? im going to buy one but not sure which. previously owned 64" mxs and a 60" extra ng.
@RCVideoReviewsАй бұрын
I prefer this one to the Extra 260. The Extra seems a little more tempermental to me.

Ah that's interesting. What do you mean by temperamental?

Was C of G on maiden set as stated in the manual? I'm beginning to not believe manufacturer's C of G postion which is crazy, they should know. Perhaps they should add a note saying C of G is at slightly tail heavy for 3D? Which means it's not the C of G , says confuscious 😊
@RCVideoReviews4 күн бұрын
I usually set it to balance on the spar tube. That's always enough to fly EF planes and tweak to suit. They aren't heavily prescriptive about CG on these planes as they are intended for intermediate and higher skill levels. And I'm sure you're aware at those skill levels folks tend to have opinions about what suits them. If you're ever concerned about it on EF planes, set your CG just in front of the spar tube and it will fly closer to a standard plane.
