I was so excited for this episode, as I’m sure all your viewers were. You are sooooo close! This is such a beautiful room. I love how you played it cool when they said they were going to add more trim to the bottom of your upper cabinets to hide the lights. Inside, we all know that you were doing a happy dance! I’ve been trying to convince my husband to change out our few glass front cabinets to Reeded glass. I’m excited that it what you chose so I can show him how stunning it looks. I just shake my head when I watch you jump in and install your own refrigerator and never hesitate to take off the dishwasher panel or retire an old light. All women should be taught to do those wonderful things themselves. I’m 65 later this year so I’m a generation too late but try to learn and do as much as possible. I love the idea of having something grow on that wall. Unsolicited advice but only because it can cause damage: As I'm sure you already have/planned to, but just in case you hadn't, I suggest researching what plants are safe to have attach/vine to the walls. Some viney plants are quite vigorous and can damage the wall and/or grow into places you don't want it to therefore causing more damage. The roots and aerial roots mostly. If it's upkept and an eye is kept on it, I'm sure it can be fine! The texture of the stucco will be perfect for something to climb and grab onto. Looking forward to seeing it grow ❤
@denisejones18635 ай бұрын
Yes, I had a vine on a house that I had to constantly cut back so it wouldn't grow under the eves. It was a lot of work. Maybe instead of letting grow on the stucco you use a trellis. You can get really beautiful ones made of white vinyl. It helps contain the vine where you want it.
@Alexandra-jj2qh5 ай бұрын
@@denisejones1863Yes, definitely an off-set trellis so there is air space between wall and trellis. Look for a twining plant, nothing with aerial roots (like ivy) which will destroy the stucco!
