Perfect choice to pick blue for the ceiling as with the orange couch they are complimentary colors, and I love your painting, the color palette is perfect, it ties everything in.

I love the blue ceiling!!! I don't know if anyone has said this yet, but my dad does painting/construction, and it's actually usually better to peel the tape when the paint is still wet. Doing it this way ensures it keeps that nice edge. If you wait until it's dried to pull the tape, it might pull some of the paint from the ceiling with it. Also if you hit the areas where the tape meets the wall or in this case ceiling with a little white paint or primer first, it will prevent any bleeding. Just maybe something to note in the future! Love your videos!!

Loving the make over. It's so different from my own style and so it's very refressing to see something completely different. I'm enjoying it a lot. Also grinning since I'm sitting next to the exact same basket with crochet yarn.... and granny squares that want to become a cardigan when they grow up.

I DIY'ed cushions for the dinnertable. I bought a second hand topper mattras (an ikea one) for €1 and i bought a cheap velvet curtain at the thirftstore. This way it was really inexpensive but still looked very good and it was very comfortable!

Here’s a tip from a Mom who has don a lot of home decor sewing. If you want nice fitting cushion covers, make them with negative ease. Make them slightly smaller than the foam you are putting inside. That will often make it hard to fit the foam inside the cover. There is an easy hack for that. Take a regular trash bag, put the foam inside. Then get your vacuum cleaner and gather the trash bag opening and hold it tightly around the hose end of your vacuum and turn it on. Vacuum all the air out of your foam and the trash bag. Holding tightly to the trash bag opening, slowly slid it off the hose and trap as much air out of the bag as you can. Tie an overhead knot in the trash bag top. Then insert the foam with the bag inside the cushion cover. Let the air out and remove the trash bag. Usually you will need to rip the bag. Easy Peasy!!!

Pro Painting Tip: when you apply your painters tape before painting with your chosen paint color, go along the tape with white or whatever the color of your wall and then once dry paint with your chosen color. This way if it bleeds through it will be the white or color of the wall and you will have a nice crisp clean paint line when done.

The makeover looks good! Love the blue ceiling. It really complements the color of the kitchen cabinets. The 50s chairs are amazing. Mirror is a nice addition but I would hate seeing myself in it while eating. But maybe I'm just an unattractive eater.😁 adore your couches and the rug goes so well. Love the side tables and coffee table. I really love your painting. I didn't at first but once it was hung I think it looks great. I knew your "disco ball" light was an expensive piece. Looks like a Murano glass piece. I wish it was mine. A unique beauty. The replacement light looks nice but ordinary. I've seen it at least a hundred times. Hope you get a good price for the beautiful chandelier and it goes to someone who appreciates it. Overall you really did a wonderful makeover and I think you two will feel happy and comfortable in what you have created. Thanks for the reveal. Love your videos. I laughed at you two walking the mirror because I had a similar experience. I bought a beautiful wood coffee table in Tokyo but I couldn't wait for them to deliver it to my hotel or I would have missed my flight. So I carried it back myself. Then I carried it on and off planes and to hotels in Hongkong, Bangkok, Delhi, Tehran, Beirut, Frankfurt, London, and finally San Francisco. 🤣 completely crazy but fortunately I do love the table. Ps. I would be even more nervous than Benson on your balcony. I hate heights. I'm in a third floor flat and that's as high as I am willing to live.

Love watching you make your new place your own. The blue ceiling turned out so nice. I actually loved your painting with the green circles when it was only green circles, I have a Kandinsky print of different colored circles in my liv rm. Your new kitchen light is nice, but girl, have to admit I miss that fabulous chandelier. Love your rug and thrifted side tables. Change is so inspiring.

Great job Jenna!!! Love all your hard work! The mirror is amazing-because of its immense size, but also, that you two managed to walk it all the way home AND get it into the elevator!! The blue ceiling does look amazing! (Btw, Mia Maple-a fellow Canadian!), painted her living room ceiling blue as well, and she added fluffy white clouds that looked great! I was a pleasantly surprised actually, at how great it looks!!!)…..And a couple of suggestions: Frog tape (If it is available in Canada!) is amazing painter’s tape that greatly reduces the possibility of paint bleeding over the typical blue painter’s tape! However, Frog makes 2 tapes… -the original green (Which is cheaper than the yellow.), and a YELLOW tape that is considered to be even better as it is a “safe release” -meaning it won’t damage the drywall when you pull it off. AND the Yellow Frog Tape is more forgiving time-wise, even if it isn’t removed immediately! It can safely stay up for a few days without damaging anything! Frog tape is great, but I suggest spending a little more and using their YELLOW tape! Lastly, would it be possible to insert your second cushion (That you had intended for the back of your dining chairs, but didn’t use as a back cushion!), into the covers for the chair seat. It would double up on the thickness and reduce the wrinkling of your fabric. If it is too thick to be added in the way it is, perhaps you can thin the edges so they fit into the current cushions-plumping up the cushions, but easing the thickness of the side seams with less depth. Just suggestions that may help! Love your channel and your sweet, sunny, cute and funny personality! Hope you continue to enjoy your new place!!! 😄

PAINTING HACK To stop the blue bleeding through, add a coat of white (or the colour of the wall before) paint as a base and let it dry, then paint over it with the blue. (Or the new colour of your choice) and then when you peel off the tape it wont bleed! This is so handy and i hope it helps other people because it works :)

Sorry if I’m repeating - haven’t read all the comments… anyway, your seat cushions might benefit from wrapping the foam with batting. If it feels over stuffed as you’re putting the cushions back in the covers you’ve added enough. The foam and batting condense over time from sitting on them so they should end up just right. It should reduce the wrinkles, too.
